Have backed Frenchie's favourite Debuscherre, each way at 100/1.. also Sagan and Terpstra

Not looked forward to a race this much in a while, wide open

You could have just given me that tenner.

Saw a bloke in full Peter Sagan replica kit on the cyclo yesterday, socks, armwarmers the works.

Did he finish 2nd or 3rd?

Whoever wins is going to get a load of 'they wouldn't have won if Boonen and Cancellara had been fit'. However, I really don't think Boonen was a likely winner this year and I'd have my doubts about Cancellara. Both are on the wane but Boonen in particular.

Weather update, freezing cold and sunny, with not a breath of wind.

Which would have been lovely yesterday, rather than the 4 hours of wind and rain we started with.

Yeah well we re the true Flandreins!

I had to ride 35 km home afterwards too. Then I ate chips and drank beer. Gone native

They're replaying Wiggins' track exploits on Sporza.

They asked Vanmarcke something like "who is the favourite in your opinion" and he just said "Thomas" before riding off. Someone might be able to give a better translation than that but that was the gist of it.

It is interesting that the bookies are going against what the pundits think this year by having Vanmarcke as favourite.

Yes, but half of Belgium has lumped money on him.

No Hayman on that list. Not a fan but he has been going quite well and is motivated to try here although he does say he much prefers Roubaix given the route change.

And buy a more appropriate T-shirt. And a change of glasses wouldn't go amiss either.

It's quite an achievement actually. He used an entire tub of gel but still hasn't managed to slick the first part of his hair back.

    I haven't drawn Servais Knaven have I?

Edit: It's even worse. Five names is somewhat excessive.
