Excellent, I don't suppose there was any comment on what they thought the cause was.

For what its worth, i absolutely battered my idol on some of the worst potholes iv'e ridden over last night. hit 54 mph on some parts and touch wood, it was fine. Lets hope yours was a one off.

Cleeve hill in Gloucestershire. Awesome road for top speed. Disc brakes gave me a bit more confidence than I may of otherwise had. Keep us updated. It'd be good to hear what they think caused it.

    Which side? Cheltenham or Winchcombe?

I am a total coward coming down that on the Chelt. side thanks to all the potholes.

Towards Cheltenham. Up bushcombe hill (tough) then downhill as a much needed reward.

Result, but proves my point about warranties... yes, they give you a new frame, but you have to wait 4 weeks... in other areas of spending you would get some form of temporary replacement or compensation to arrange for another temporary one

Ugo: I don;t agree. Ever had any white good fail? Electronics (especially mobiles)? The motorbike industry has had a fair few horror stories of recall for repairs were parts were not available. Granted - The car industry is generally better though.

Great to see some pretty good customer service for the opening poster though.

The car industry is more what I had in mind and given the money involved, it is a fair comparison... I suspect a Pinarello with Di2 costs in excess of a Dacia.

Definitely a reward! Getting up Bushcombe is more impressive to me than 54mph down the hill (and I haven't tried to cycle it, just drove up it once to see what all the fuss was about :D )
