Sep distanced, Debu with Vandenbergh chasing Thomas and Terpstra, at least 10" to Paolini

Paolini has this. He still looks solid with 1k to go.

Outstanding ride by Paulini. Deserves it after all his work for other people the last few weeks

    Utter utter Fail for EQS

Vandenbergh chasing Terpstra. Like at the Omloop Sporza doubting whether they ride for the same team

That win has experience written all over it. Beautiful to watch. Very, very pleased for this guy. Superb, very happy.

Last win: St 3 Giro 2013 and before that Het Volk 2013.

Since the Kemmel, Paolini has played this group like a violin.

Ettixx tossers, Paolini rode away because of those two. I can't even imagine Tinkoffs face watching that.

    Impressive, clever Paolini.

Best race of the year? Most entertaining certainly

This chap probably came into this race with no thought of the win, just to get Kristoff there. Which makes the win even more special.

Great race and brilliant win by Paolini. He was off the back several times but he never gave up and that's what you get.

EQS - they need to have a long hard look at themselves

Another Ettix massive fail (and Lotto for that matter). Good to see G is learning how to force others to ride, if he'd chased Paolini today he'd be doing all the chasing next week too.

Cracking ride by Paolini to take the win - only shame was that it made the last couple of km a formality rather than keeping the tension until the very end.

Not sure what all the down talk to QS is. If you haven't got the legs you haven't got the legs. Just because you have two riders where the rest have one it doesn't mean you should win.

Biggest win of his career at 38 years old?

Chuffed to bits for Paolini. My only disappointment is that he's not wearing his sheep snood.

  • If I may channel FF for a moment, he needs to lose the skateboard helmet and dayglo, however

    Thank goodness for that.

He grew it after the Giro win. He shaved it and won again. Surprised?!

NoNo, but you should probably use one of them to chase Paolini. They can't both win and that's the point of having numbers at the end

    Is he 38?!?!?

Either way, great win for a rider who seems like a great guy! Good on him!
