I can see the advantage of just burning out Rowe. Keeps Thomas and swift safe from any accidents back in the bunch.
Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy
  • Be honest, could anyone else see a situation where sky had numbers at the front of the race?

Cipressa coming up in the next few kms. Luke Rowe setting this up for G to attack?

30ks, 4 riders, Rowe/Geraint/Swift about to catch them, 30 secs back, Orica and Giant lead the chase.

Apparently Bono is at the front and the gap to those 7/9 riders are about 15 secs behind with a further 20 to the peloton.

Sky are riding Continental tyres today. Fenn's crash had nothing to do with the tyres.

Stybar goes! Easily makes the gap to the Sky breakaway. GVA there too.

  • Big teams second stringers trying the first attacks, cav must be going OK if Stybars gone this early

Was hoping for a cold, cold day, so thought the extra blubber would work in his favour.
