Unbelievable, you take a mate riding and the selfish git crashes and spoils your day riding when you've been looking forward to it for so long.
Are you sure it was the bike and not the large landlady coz the facial injuries look like a fat girl has had a good time face sitting.
Send him the collective love and get well wishes from the BB and he's not the first bloke to have his ambition exceed his skill set and it'll teach him to get some proper riding on the road in.

I feel guilty enough already. I bailed out of the boozing last night having mentioned it's not a great idea to do downhill with a hangover, but I couldn't stop him carrying on drinking with the hotel landlady. Did he come off at the top of the run or the bottom? There's no street cred (or whatever you crudders call it) coming off at the top.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0

It was about a third of the way down but because of the steepness of the terrain round there they had to get the rescue chopper in to winch him out. The paramedics could get there on foot but you can't get a car anywhere near and it was too risky trying to stretcher him down until they knew the extent of his injuries. Update: he's still very groggy and they are going to do a 'Barry Sheen' job on his collar bone tomorrow. I've booked myself into a hotel nearby as I need some sleep and a wash. Tomorrow morning I'll drive up to Shropshire and give his old man a lift down to collect his car which is still at the Bike Park near Merthyr (hopefully it is still there)."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered."
