I'm going for the second option on the basis that he'll probably avoid the kamikaze black runs but is going to be riding a hard tail and will probably not clock the signs about dropping your saddle

The runs are graded like ski runs - blue (easy), red (alright), black (a bit tricky) and double black (yikes). No green runs, but roadies will be familiar with the standard

I went for the last option as he is doing it on a fixie cross bike with mudguards. He might escape the worst of it if he is relaxed enough due to beer consumption.0
