With that Molly Weaver. Only one episode out yet so far.CarbonClem wrote:I listened to the Eurosport podcast last night with Molly Weaver and Bradley Wiggins. Seemed decent enough.

Just listened in the bath (I'm just so f88king cool yo!) It was interesting enough. Mollly, bless her, doesnt add much.
(It's fairly obviously an attempt to rip off Larry so poor Molly is somewhat surplus to requirement)We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

It's pretty decent actually. Brad speaks well.0

Lionel did a good piece on the need for sponsors on his blog.
I'm sure those complaining about adverts would be the first to complain if there wasn't daily coverage from the Grand Tours.0 -

Quite like the Breakfast With Boswell episodes coming in LA's Stages aka The Move feed. Ok so is a couple of USAnian dudes just chatting but insider perspective sometimes shows through, e.g. the chat about team dynamics and the after effects when Kittel flatted just before the end the other day.0

Yeah Armstrong’s is closest. Still not great.
Wiggins’ most recent one I thought was fine but didn’t add that much to the rest of the crop.0 -

Hincapie on Armstrong's podcast is good.
Everything else is garbage (outside of Wiggins who is okay).PTP Champion 2019, 2022 & 20230 -
Talking of the Cycling Podcast Adam Blythe's interview with Caleb Ewan was illuminating. His dealings with Sky as a junior were particularly interesting. Basically he was living alone in Europe as a 19 year old and they set him up with a pro level bike (oddly a Specialized), a powermeter and Bobby Julich as a mentor. Blythe quipped that they were looking after him better than some WT riders were by their own teams.Twitter: @RichN950

I liked Blythe's burn of Aqua Blue on the Wiggins pod this week. Something about being pleased to be in a real professional team again.
Also, CyclingNews seem to have rewritten TCP's discussion about Ineos as an article about "environmental concerns". Quoted the same MP and everything1 -

Really enjoying it this year"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. What we're witnessing here is the world's most high profile mid-life crisis" Afx237vi Mon Jul 20, 2009 2:43 pm0 -
Shame about Richard0
-
Daniel and Lionel have been doing a great job.
The archive clips of Richard are very poignant1 -
From Lionel Birnie on the Cycling Podcast email today:I saw Richie Porte cross the line and headed towards the Ineos Grenadiers soigneur 50 metres or so away and waited.
As Porte put on his jacket, I could sense him checking out the accreditation badge hanging round my neck, even though he was wearing mirrored shades. After a few moments he said: ‘You worked with Richard Moore, didn’t you? I was so sorry to hear what happened. It’s absolutely terrible.’
I must confess, that winded me. I thanked him, composed myself and tried to remember the question I wanted to open with. Porte had spent the best part of five-and-a-half hours turning himself inside out but he wanted to express his condolences.
That's a good guy.6 -
Its different and yet still great, which I think is a mark of respect for Richard Moore and testament to the skills of Daniel and Lionel.2

I can't say I'm a fan of Kate Wagner
The latest episode was a good premise, touring around Slovenia, but I don't like that she's reading from a pre written script.
Even with the KM0 episodes, they sound natural and still tell a story0 -
As long as it's not the guy who narrates Friebe's Ullrich book, I'll be happy.================================
Cake is just weakness entering the body0 -
Oh man, I'm glad it's not just me. It's weird hearing something that you know would sound just right coming out of Friebe's mouth being read in a voice that just doesn't hold/have any interest. I might just stump up for the book instead of persisting.wakemalcolm said:As long as it's not the guy who narrates Friebe's Ullrich book, I'll be happy.
Wish he'd done it himself, but I guess 18 hours of book is something for a professional.1 -
Frustratingly, I think the right pronunciation might actually be Yo-han Brown Ale.kingstongraham said:
