I would have thought that with Cameron's background a mass debate with a few of his high-fluting colleagues would remind him of his time at school.
Quiet right, i'm very surprised cameron want's to miss out on a mass debate.
He never has before...
may be he'll just have one with Nigel.0 -

As for Salmond, who knows. As things stands Sturgeon is the SNP leader, not Salmond. For the purposes of the poster, though, having Milliband in Nicola Sturgeon's...er...breast pocket could misfire as a gambit?
would he not be suckling on the teet of Scotland... tweet of Scotland, I dunno.

That'd make a good poster0

I'd vote for a candidate if he said he was going to abolish usury.
All these politicians are just cardboard cutouts of what a politician ought to be.
Same with journalists, they don't investigate anymore, they just repeat whatever they are told, no questions asked. Presstitutes.
Couple that together and its easy to see how nothing ever gets investigated. You know that is true because nothing ever changes, well it does but always slightly worse. Only ever slightly worse mind, otherwise we would notice. The stepping stone technique. Totalitarian tiptoe. Frog in a pan.
Its high time the bankers gave us another economic boom. They do sometimes, although unfortunately when they are being exposed as they are now they also start world wars, I guess because they are annoyed they are getting noticed and thought they had everything covered, who knows.
Their main problem now is the internet and controlling it, in that it can't be controlled. These people have only one weakness - arrogance. Not knowing when enough is enough, getting caught out like every greedy criminal does that takes it just that bit too far.0 -
Random thought process.....
The TV debate does not go far enough.
What is need to attract the public's attention is a political version of The Voice. Not that I ever watch the programme but from the advertising it seems like it could work and the original gets more attention than any Party Political broadcast.
I acknowledge that is dumbing down the process but that is where the majority of TV viewers would appear to be, and they certainly do not appear to be interested in intellectual programmes. Top Gear as an example of dumbing down to the audience. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -
That's why I stopped watching TV except the football. Its all crap now when we used to have stuff like Blackadder, Only Fools and Horses, Tomorrow's World...
I worked out I am never going to see anything all that interesting or revealing on the TV these days and anyhow, why am I watching a load of stuff some TV network wants me to watch as opposed to watching what I want to watch? Nip that in the bud right away!
Maybe the real aim is to make TV so crap even the most naive people give up with it and we all end up on the internet, where we can be 100% monitored at all times. Not necessarily for nefarious reasons, but look at the money in knowing exactly every purchase everyone makes and so on. Yeah I'm sticking with that, they are forcing us all to get away from the TV and online.
The term "online only" never even used to exist and now it is rife. At some point, when all banking and all transactions and bills are paid online... BOOM they (the banksters) will flick a switch, blame the sun (solar flare) and that is it, no internet and no electricity, we go into a dark dark age.0
