Contador's performance on stage 5 of Tirreno was pretty impressive.
There weren't any moments this year to match Riblon's 2013 Alpe D'Huez.0 -
Tour of Flanders, Nibali's riding during the tour,Gilbert's attack at Amstel gold.0
-
Yep, stage 2 was pretty special in Yorkshire.0
-
Can't pick between Flanders and Stage 5 in the Tour.0
-
Tour de Yorkshire was head and shoulders above everything else this season for me - both watching on TV and being there at the roadside.
Racing highlights were Froome's efforts in the Vuelta and Wiggo finally nailing the road rainbow jersey. You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.0 -
Tour de Yorkshire. Tuned in in a half bottomed way to see what was going on and was blown away.
Omloop was a great race in horrible conditions.
Enjoyed watching Evans wring every last bit out too, even doing a great team job on Sunday."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Picking up on a few previous comments, I enjoyed watching a race in the flesh, admiring the skill of Moreno Hofland sprinting up a cobbled Dutch high street full gas to win the Volta Limburg.Half man, Half bike0

It was a pretty fantastic year. All three Grand Tours were superb and there were a good many one day races that were amazing.Contador is the Greatest0
-
I liked Aru's win on stage 15 of the Giro

For me it has to be seeing three stages of other tour live in Yorkshire/Essex, the atmosphere was absolutely amazing and the turnout was epic, we did the tour proud.0
-
Oh and stage 5 of the tour. That is a stage that will go down in legend!0

The Tour in Yorkshire
Nibali's cobbles performance
Martin's LombardiaIt's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.0 -
Tour does cobbles.
By miles.
Really enjoyed Flanders (no sh!t), but I was there, so not a fair contest so shouldn't be included.0 -
The Tour, Stages 2 & 5
Yorkshire was great but Stage 2 was very, very good
Stage 5. Three bits
- Lars Booms winning performance was a cobbles masterpiece
- Nibali on the cobbles (although it is my personal opinion he is a doper even though I do not have any evidence for this)
- G's comments to Porte before taking off with Tichie Richie on his wheelCoach H. (Dont ask me for training advice - 'It's not about the bike')0 -

As it happens, I was reading an interview with Nibs in what appeared to be the Belgian equivilent of the CTC magazine today, he said that he was only concentrating on getting onto the first set in a good position behind Westra and Fuglesang, he never thought it would be a stage to gain time on."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Got to be FF's cardboard sign and tartan trousers. Certainly lived up to the hype that one.Life is unfair, kill yourself or get over it.0

Ryder’s Vuelta Stage 14 win
Giro Stage 16 – Gavia/Stelvio/snow and Ryder the fighter once again
Wiggo’s Worlds
Contador’s year0 -
Giro stage 2 in Belfast and E3 Harelbeck for me.0
-
Wiggins winning the time trial world championship.
Armitstead winning the Commonwealth gold and World Cup.
Seeing the Tour first hand standing at the side of the road.0 -
Tour does cobbles, by far. That's a stage that will be still be referenced years later.
I loved Flanders, but I was there in Oudenaarde, so a little different .0 -
Seeing Bernard Hinault, Brian Cookson and Malcolm Elliott waiting patiently in a layby on the A659 just before the start of Stage 1 of the Tour.
The look of delight on Elliott's face as he realised someone had recognised him when we shouted "Hello, Malcolm".
(A related lowlight was getting a smile and a cheery "Bonjour" from The Badger in exchange for my greeting to him. I was hoping he'd run across the road and punch me!)
The buzz from the assembled helicopters and the crowd by the "KM 0" point on Stage 1 of the Tour as it finally kicked off.
The cobbled stage in the Tour.
Wiggo's WC win - particularly the bit where he was lying on the floor afterwards trying in vain to lift the lid on the "hurt box".0 -

If it was I've misheard massively! Although nothing like a bit of poetic license!"A cyclist has nothing to lose but his chain"
