Do you all think he's real then?

If it's not then, given that no-one seems particularly wound up by all this, it's a bit of a fail at trolling.

  • Indeed. I just feel sorry for the guy. Failed law student. Failed relationships. A bro who's got a job he likes. A thyroid problem. An eating problem. Lives at home. Is a bit dense. Has pot belly. His bike's a bit buggered and he has no idea where to begin to fix it. Thinks riding on the pavement is ok. And so on.

If you didn't want my opinion, you shouldn't have asked me. Don't ask about my past, it was all bad. I'm not on here to confess or remind you of what was before, I'm only concerned on the here and now. Want to focus on cycling exercise and nutrition for healthy living and strength. I'm lacking strength at the moment and I'm trying to understand why by reading all your posts. When I'm not reading them I'm working or trying out boring food like chicken burgers to see if it increases me in strength. Not that I'm fond of fast food, I've kinda given up on it past 6 months, only been having it once a week.

I'm a bit slow if you want to know the truth, I've got learning difficulty's but I'm a normal person physically I'm not disabled or anything. And a bit mischievous at times, otherwise righteous and humble. I'm very quiet and very shy, for a 25 year old that might seem weird, but that's the way god and I myself want me to be.

    Finishing work at 6.

Seriously dude, plenty of people have given good advice about nutrition in this thread and you just ignore it. Crap like chicken burgers will give you no energy at all. You need carbs as well as protein. Have some pasta a few days in a row, about a cup full with a bit of chicken and a nice sauce. Three or four days of that for tea, some porridge for breakfast and a light lunch, maybe a sandwich and you will have loads of energy. A banana before your ride as well and you will ride faster and further than you ever have.

Yeah I get that. But I have no learning disabilities (apart from just being a bit thick) and I wouldn't even have been accepted to the uni in the first place!

    TL:DR version:
Harrassed initially underage chick for years, even after she was married.

Nope, we agreed to pursue a friendship, it was legitimate. It was beautiful that we met at a young age, but unfortunate it never worked out. Anyway it's sorted, not worried now. The bobbys have been and gone. Can't believe it got this far but S*it happens in life especially with modern women.

There were times when I loved her and she loved me, but we couldn't tell each other because of our innocence and shyness. But I believe God had plans for me to marry better than her, what she couldn't give me, god will provide me. I'm going to marry someone religious and who is obedient to God and not deviant. I deserve it after remaining a virgin for nearly 26 years don't you think?

If it was up to me I could go clubbing and have lots of punani but I don't bother. It's expensive, got to dance all night to attract a girl, then got to buy her drinks, then chat for hours, it just goes on and on. It's a CROCK OF S*IT.

No, I get up around 6 for training rides before breakfast

Yes it's dark at this time of year but a) I have quite bright lights and b) I'm not a pussy.

Riding on the pavement isn't allowed you know.

Oh right, I ride on pavements because it's safer, trying to avoid car s and accidents.
Is there a law which prohibits this?

Of course it would look odd for a road rider to be seen riding on pavements, but not unusual for mtb..

I ain't got the heart to fight anymore, I'm a big softy with a nice heart. I believe God had brought me closer to him which has softened me by removing from me aggression and I have more respect for humans.

I use to be tough once, but not anymore. The only thing I fear on a night is drunk people who just wanna fight ya and kill ya. Not a nice thing to do is it.

I had to have some external support in place whilst studying. At the end of the course I realised I wasn't academic and left it and pursued work. I sometimes didn't put effort in to revise. Many people get into uni through btec courses level 1, 2, and 3. I skipped 4 years and just did an access course which was one year. Exams were easy, not hard if you know how, just at the time I was under stress and being pursued by a crazy law student who wanted a fight with me all the time. So hence reason I failed my final exam.

Usually only before a race or really long (50km plus off road) ride but I have a good, balanced diet the rest of the time.
    Give it a try.

Yes. You are not supposed to ride a bike on the pavements. You aren't a pedestrian (no matter how slowly you are riding) so you should be in the road. THE LAW - Rule 64 is pretty clear.

I get fear of drunk people - I used to hate the walk home through Reading town centre - eyes down, speed walk, no eye contact, well lit routes. Not sure how you can have been tough once but not anymore though.

Cody, seems like your on a downward spiral with lots of things having a knock on effect: youre depressed, causing loss of appetite, causing not eating enough; causing lack of energy for cycling; causing disappointment with yourself ("Really wanted to go for a ride tonight but couldnt be bothered so just sit at home and feel guilty"); causing depression...and youre back where you started, and the whole cycle (!) of negativity begins again. Bummer.
Good news for you is that its possible to get into an upward, positive spiral; eat more; increased energy for cycling; more cycling leads to positive sense of achievement; improved mood and exercise leads to increased appetite; this gives you more energy for cycling...and your back where you started, living a healthier, happier more fulfilled life. Simple eh?
Sorry for the amateur psychology, Im simply telling you what ive observed in myself, and that these 3 things - exercise, diet, mood - are all very much interconnected. Exercise is the best, risk-free antidepressant, countless studies highlighting the increased dopamine and seretonin, your natural good mood neurochemicals, have proved this.
Eat; ride, be happy. Rinse and repeat :)
    Take care dude

I'll give pasta a miss. I went boxing last year for 1 month and trained 3 times a week, 2 hour sessions, had pasta 2 times a week after each boxing session and a different meal on the third and after 4 weeks I was putting on weight which was just pathetic, then you get cyclists talking about carbs and riding and losing lots of weight on YouTube which I see them doing thousands of miles just to lose a pound of weight. Besides I don't like pasta it's very heavy. Everyones body works differently I believe, each to their own views on how things work for themselves. I found a diet which worked for me a couple of year ago, problem was I couldn't stick to it. Was excellent for quick weight loss results but it just ate all my muscles aswell. It wouldn't let me stick to it. I couldn't even remember what I did the previous day that's how much it affected me.

Thing is, I believe god takes it out of ya, worship and increased love and humbleness and humility when walking upon the earth, you start to see life and people in a different light believing that they are all not worth fighting and picking fights against. Sometimes, it's a genetic thing to be aggressive and tough, I was the opposite, born somewhat with an attitude but with a soft heart and a fear of people. My biggest fear is people, I can't read them or judge what they are going to do next, I don't have the heart to fight.

So if someone comes at me with aggression I probably will walk away and not say anything, if that was the case years ago when I was a bit of a rebel I would stay on the spot and throw aggression back. But that's not me anymore, I've gone really soft I wouldn't know what to do if a drunk came towards me I would probs just run or cross the road. Not good I know. I need to be more of a man, and I believe i haven't done enough to achieve that. I've learnt more about people through books and through life experience and believe that god doesn't like the man with attitude or a hard heart void of love for his people, unless they were really bad to you, still forgive them.

The prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "the stronger man is not he who can win others in battle, but one who can control himself when he is angry."

Never have I become so soft in my life physically and mentally. And I believe it is as a result of doing gods will and trying to understand others more and life itself and giving back to people what I owed them in recompense.

Oh well, It's one way of explaining it.

So what you're saying is that you've become a person that you don't like or respect by following your beliefs in god?

Hmmm sounds like you're onto a winner there
