    Power estimates. e.g.

    @ammattipyoraily 3m
#LaVuelta, Stage 14: La Camperona. According to prov. calculation, Chris Froome at 6.40 - 6.50 W/kg for 12 mins.

Pr1cks that take their massive iPads to take photos on on the busy climbs, because waving big iPads around block other peoples view, it's completely selfish and inconsiderate.

    Carlton Kirby.

I was going to say that! He's an embarrassment to the language he apparently speaks.

Couldn't disagree more. I like his commentary and his sense of humour.

Today he did a great job basically of commentating on two races simultaneously.

A viewer corrected him on his pronounciation of the South Africsn riders surname and he then spent the rest of the broadcast trying very hard to pronounce it properly.

Chapeau as they would say. I look forward to listening to him again tomorrow.

+1, I would much rather listen to Carlton than any of the others or ITV4.
  • But, I would happily go without.....

Boring circuits of towns, no matter how much they pay.
The first 100km of most stages.
Any interviewee that says "today might be a day for the breakaway".

Awful, when will he learn to commentate.
I "Mute" him because he only says what can be read on the screen or he Parrot fashions what Sean has mentioned.
Kirby and Backstedt is just excruciating err, uum, why bother.

I have to say that I thought his joke today about Luis Leon Sanchez having to leave Euskaltel
because they folded was quite funny.

What the hell are you doing, listening to "Chuckles", or (like me) did you tune in hoping to hear Sean Kelly. ??

On this subject, it's been refreshing to see the Guardia Civil actually attempting to control the crowds at the Vuelta. I'd rather fans enforce these things themselves, but it really does irk me so perhaps some police brutality might sort things out.
