Love the frame, love the silver Campagnolo kit, don't love the wheels. You do know Campagnolo still make hubs. A pair of Record hubs laced to well take your pick of rims would look lush. Record hubs are 32 spoke and such a wheel will peform just as well if not better than the askiums. I get old frames and modern kit, I really do. I have a one that I use alot but that has higher spoke count wheels, it not slow.

Anyway it not my bike if you love it that all that matters.

I have a pair of 32h mavic MA2 polished to go on, just need to allow the piggy bank to replenish before I can afford to buy the hubs and build.

if you want neoretro rims why not use the very classy H plus Son TB14 in polished silver. 14mm deep 23mm wide. You could lace them to Novatec A171/F272 hubs which are the shape of older Campagnolo hubs from the 90's to 2006. Polished silver too. that would look lovely. Or find on ebay a set of Campagnolo Chorus or record hubs. If you search ebay.it for Campagnolo Mozzi you will find something without paying stupid prices. I got my 2006 chorus hubset for under £100 that way. O.K it cost me a bit more as I had to serivce them but hey they are the perfect hubset. The Novatec hubs look the same but are alot cheaper.

It does indeed. I didnt have enough to wrap right around the levers, it'll do until I can find some I like.

    Small update:

I have managed to source an original head tube badge, it needs a bit of tlc but it's original. Also purchased a San Marco Regal titanium saddle in black which I think will really suit it.

Hoping that once my girls are finally out of hospital I will actually be able to ride it.

Unfortunately Marco is unable to confirm the original colour. He said it should have been blue but could have been black, red or white.

I keep thinking about Gios blue but I'm just not keen on the shade of blue it is.

It's the ONLY shade of blue and it is awesome... I have seen some lovely white ones with blue bands, but ultimately a Gios is blue... like a Ducati is red and a Ferrari is red and anyone with a non red ferrari... well, you know what I mean...

    But ferraris should be yellow

I haven't yet, been in and out of hospital with the twins since before Christmas so haven't had chance. I will soon though.

Now with new saddle and bar tape, original head badge stuck on as a temporary for the Gios records.
