I saw someone today without any tattoos, I mean WTF?? Talk about trying to tell the world you're a non-confirmist.0

I guess they were naked then. And all you could comment on was the lack of artwork.0 -
I draw my 'tattoo' on every morning with a biro. If I still like the exact same image in 20 years I may have it tattooed on properly but, until then, I'm still deciding.0

Anyone contemplating a tattoo should consider the 'anchor', traditionally sported by matelots.
You can always claim the 'w' is silent.
Edit. Sorry, forgot the0 -

Apparently happy, like me, that their own genetic structure makes them individual enough.Trail fun - Transition Bandit

Not enthused with tattoos. Too many people are having them, it's trying too hard to stand out.
Lazer removal would be a good business to get into.0 -

Dont see the point in tattoos anymore - you wouldnt wear the same t-shirt, every day, for the rest of your life - would you? Considered one in my late teens for a couple of years but could never find one I liked enough to have forever, so never got one done.
I must say that some of the new 3D tattoos look soo much better than some of the older lame stuff though, like:

Unless you're sure that you're going to like it in 20/30/40/50 years, don't go there. And how can you be sure? It's probably also a good way of limiting your career in some of the more traditional/professional lines of work if it's visible with your work clothes on."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." A friend of mine spent £450 on a tattoo recently. I just laughed.0

Why?
There a probably quite a few tattooed folk out there who would laugh at the amount we spend on bikes.0 -

Interesting article yesterday on BBC news about whether employers should be able to discriminate against people with tattoos as they can today. My thought is - yes. Having tattoos isn't like being black, or old, or female. You have a choice whether to have tattoos unlike your race, gender, age etc. and with choice comes responsibility.WyndyMilla Massive Attack | Rourke 953 | Condor Italia 531 Pro | Boardman CX Pro | DT Swiss RR440 Tubeless Wheels

Because it's a shiteload of money that he can't really afford to waste and next year he'll probably be back to moaning about how he can't afford this, that or the other. It's a bit like another friend of mine who's always complaining about her lack of money, but when I point out that she spends over £1000 a year on cigarettes and might want to give those up if she wants to go on holiday, comes up with a load of excuses.Monkeypump wrote:There a probably quite a few tattooed folk out there who would laugh at the amount we spend on bikes.
Bikes keep you fit. They can also save you petrol/fares money when you cycle. Tattoos can't do that.0 -

I'll freely admit that I'm an old fart, out of touch, unfashionable, whatever, but just don't 'get' tats at all.
I fully respect people's right to do any damn thing they please with their body, doesn't mean I have to respect them for doing it though. I know in theory I shouldn't have a view, but the fact often remains that 'the statement' that people make with their tats is very different from the one they imagine they're making.
I guess by definition, getting a tat done means you don't care what other people think. Maybe that's what I don't like about them.Is the gorilla tired yet?0 -
If you wanna do something really dumb have one of those stretchy hole ear hole things done. They're a fashion thing that trendies have started doing that they will regret as it is obvious anyone would regret it one day, unless they're a complete biker type for life.0

A reciprocal +1 - I too am a bit of an old fart although I like to think young at heart. But I just don't get tats at all, nor those stupid ear thingys.WyndyMilla Massive Attack | Rourke 953 | Condor Italia 531 Pro | Boardman CX Pro | DT Swiss RR440 Tubeless Wheels

Of course I do; I've a bleedin' IQ of 143.
And please feel free to substitute "bigot" for "c***", "brainwashed tosspot", "empathy-lacking ar$ehole"...Ben
