Just a heads up that there is a big sale coming from Rapha, it briefly went online friday morning only to disappear a bit later.

Still managed to order one of the club jerseys at the discounted price of £80!

There was absolutely loads on there and all with pretty good discounts making it all at least a bit easier on the wallet!

It probably went up then got locked. It's available for Imperial Works customers only at the moment.

There's quite a few things in it though mostly of the summer variety.

Rain Jacket down to £140 isn't a bad shout. But no absolute must have bargains. Most of the current jerseys are reduced.

The rain jacket is excellent. I bought one last year in the sale... For £110...

Are there any bibs in the sale?

    Ok, thank you :)

I was hoping they'd reduce the lightweight ones like they did last year.

Berni, the topic has been done to death... I reckon it's not in Rapha's interest to reduce their stock by 50% or more... I suggest we leave it like that and stop moaning about Rapha prices as it's not even yesterday's news.

i never understand why people moan about Rapha prices but not Asos, castelli......i could go on

Also some of the sale items are now on the Condor website http://www.condorcycles.com/index.php

Yes, the comparison should be with those two. And, in that respect, they're pretty much direct competitors.

There's potential to say that a wool jersey lacks the technical investment of an Assos one but, well, there we are. Otherwise the products are pretty similar. Some are priced a bit more, some a bit less. A Rapha rain jacket is considerably better value than a Sturmprinz or Pocket liner, for example.

Ugo's right though in terms of mega reductions. Though the Pro Team Jacket is pretty much 50% off currently and is a wonderful thing.

They reserve the massive reductions for their physical flash sales.

I bought this jersey some weeks ago:

    http://www.rapha.cc/gb/en/shop/tempest- ... duct/TPE01

For some reason, it went on site, I signed up for notifications, then it was only visible for those who had. It's been absent ever since because they only physically sold it at the Tempest event.

This is one of the best they've produced. Lovely design with some unusual (for Rapha) features. It has, for example, a more ribbed sleeve cuff than their other designs, and works very well.

What are these jersey's like on hot summer days in terms of wicking and temperature control.

I think they look great but would potentially be a little warm on a warmer day. I know that in the UK this isn't a problem all the time, but would be great to know peoples experiences.

Happily worn the regular weight ones up to the low twenties. I have one of the lightweight jerseys which performs very well when it gets hotter. Co-incidentally, the lightweight ones are in the sale, available in most sizes/colours. Blame that on the recent crappy summers!

Shame I missed out on the long sleeve jersey.
If anyone orders a medium and finds it is to small or to large I will happily buy it from you

It's a slightly sneaky sale. Half of it is what was already on clearance so that's all been picked over a while ago. The rest is, naturally, summer stuff.

It's this time of the year I do my winter investing, so scored the pro team jacket a few weeks ago. It's very good.

I'm oddly drawn to the Cross Transfer Jacket for casual wear, if only it didn't say Focus on the back of it.

There's still loads of stuff left in S/M/L, depends what you're after I suppose. I'm very tempted by the white super lightweight jersey, should still get a few wears out of it before autumn hits. And I like the Sky team gilet, FPKW for the win....

A pal of mine has one and ranted about how good it is for fairly fast rides in winter. On the back of his recommendations I bought one last time they were on sale - awaiting autumn before being able to comment myself, but I reckon the guy is solid.
