Odds for 2015 (from Paddy Power)

    15/8 Froome
    7/2 Contador
    5/2 Nibali

So after the Tour de France and four stage wins you may assume Nibali shoots to the top of the UCI World Rankings. Well he moves up to second. Contador is still top. Indicative of how well the best stage race rider of his generation was going this year. The boy was on fire and peaking for the Tour.

1 Alberto Contador (ESP) Team Tinkoff-Saxo 407 pts
2 Vincenzo Nibali (ITA) Astana 392
3 Alejandro Valverde (ESP) Movistar Team 382
4 Nairo Quintana (COL) Movistar Team 345
    5 Jean-Christophe Péraud (FRA) Ag2r-La Mondiale 300
6 Fabian Cancellara (SUI) Trek Factory Racing 274
    7 Simon Gerrans (AUS) Orica-GreenEDGE 268
    8 Rui Costa (POR) Lampre-Merida 268
9 Peter Sagan (SVK) Cannondale 257
10 Michal Kwiatkowski (POL) Omega Pharma-Quick Step 257

^ Thank god you have the sense not to be on twitter FF ... You'd give Oleg a run for his Rubles in the delusional projection stakes. He's not much cop on the cardboard sign making though, so you'd still be AC's no.1 fan.
Life is unfair, kill yourself or get over it.

Tweet from Dan Friebe this morning said that the flight to Paris was Momma Nibali's first ever time on a plane

And so if Valverde had finished he'd easily have beaten Péraud for second place... What? oh!...

407 pts eh. He's supposed to be clean now. How many points was he racking up when he was a drug cheat? I have no idea, just curious.
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.

And they will announce a TT heavy Tour (as is rumoured) and it will invert again.

Surprised Belkin didn't get a mention. One stage win but 2 completely anonymous GC riders.

    Has Cheng finished yet?
I think he had to finish with all the others. Hopefully the extra lap will be added to his time
Pretty sure a 'lap out' doesnt exist here.
He wouldn't have to do the last lap, but his average lap time will be added. That is common in stage races where there is a finishing circuit.
First time I've come across it. Plausible I suppose.
However it was deduced, Cheng was given a time of +9:25.
Not all riders were in the pack or within 2 mins behind, 3 others were +3:30 to +4:30 adrift (Kiryienka, Kadri and Pichot).

Seems he did have to ride the last circuit on his own after all.

Not necessarily, that could be from when he was dropped before the bunch caught him?

Or is there a link I'm missing?

Maybe, but I don’t believe one could see the voiture balai behind him when he was dropped and before he was lapped. I think it must have joined him for his last lap alone.

I know riders are sometimes pulled in when lapped on circuit races, but in this case, the others weren’t going to come around yet again, and if I were him I’d probably have wanted to do the extra lap anyway, I wouldn’t have felt I’d completed the whole Tour if I stopped/was made to stop a lap early.

Yeah that's what I was thinking as well, not "completed" the Tour then have you?

Also, if he did his last lap alone, would have given him the chance to kiss the ground as we saw in one photo.

Isn't about time someone told Cipollini it's not about him any more?
It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.
