It's amazing how many fans you see wearing polka dot kit compared to any of the other jerseys

Doesn't the Carrefour float in the caravan chuck out plenty of the polka dot shirts as they go past... same as LCL seem to ensure that everyone in the finishing 100m is wearing a yellow LCL hat...
I've no idea, but that would explain it!

No one in GC group going for the points despite there being some available (unless lots of riders went through and we were not shown).

The sound on this ITV stream sound like it's running slow.

Pretty impressive descending from Valverde but I think it will come to nothing.

What is the consensus on the first clean rider on this list?
Think it’s impossible to say. At a quick glance, I’d say about 40% of those listed were never caught doping, so who can say.
Also, when in the case of Olano (17) it was only coffeine, but for others it was EPO, even within the dopers there are clearly significant differences.

Even the second on your list (Leblanc) says his use of EPO was very controlled, just to lift his hematocrit value from his apparently normal 47% to just 48%, which is a big difference from how Mr. 68% Riis (1) behaved.

To play safe, if not Olano, or Sastre or Evans, then Mottet at 97 (though Caritoux only took a couple of amphetamines).

    They're now running fast

They may start talking backwards and praising Armstrong.

Laurens Ten Dam punctured on Tourmalet, still chasing to get back to the Nibali group. With headwind in the valley his top-10's at risk

He should avoid doing his famous faceplant on this descent again in the chase.

That Valverde attack brought the gap down to 3:12 but the peloton might have a bit of a break now.
