    All 5 have more than 25 minutes on GC. Questionable whether a team would ride full out for the stage win, so this could well be a winning break

    astana are going to be hard pressed to find someone to pass the jersey too. going to have to bluff it. OTOH nibali and birdsong looked very comfortable the other day. if the other gc contenders[contaor in particular] can not drop Nibali today even for a handful of secs i suspect morale will start to fall.

    Nah, moral crunch time is breakfast. For proper moral crunch, choose organic granola.

    (more sensibly, I'm not sure Contador is the sort to get disheartened - I suspect he'll always feel like a chance will come his way and that he thinks he can exploit it when it comes)
