I really doubt that any rider wants to clip a spectator - it must have been unavoidable.

Rubbish, plain and simple. Watch the video again please.

Just calling it how I saw it. That's all.
So the fact that Lopez had a line of teammates to his left preventing him from moving that way didn't occur to you? Or that he might understandably have assumed the spectator would see him coming and take a couple of steps back? Or more importantly, that his "dropping the shoulder" was actually an attempt to twist his body away from the impact as much as he could? If he wanted to produce the biggest impact that's the last thing he would have done.

I don't believe a rider would deliberately do something as risky and stupid as hitting a spectator like that to "teach them a lesson". You simply can't predict what the result would be - he could just as easily have bounced a little further left and taken out himself and half the Sky team. Not worth it. If you want to teach people a lesson then I think following the example of Navardauskas is the obvious thing to do.

    Very pretty.

If you imagine a hotter version of that in Rapha kit and POC headwear, she's the one I met yesterday

'That' ? what is she a bike?

    Her name is Emilia.

Voekler's off already. Nobody watching by the side of the road - France must have almost full employment.....

Froome on the deck already on his poorly wrist...

Ripped shorts and some skin missing off his thigh. Looks like a rider slipped across in front of him and touched his front wheel.

Big hit on his recent, Dauphine injury.
Could well be a decisive moment in this Tour.

If you're going to hit something it is better to lean into it so that when you hit the balance/centre of gravity goes as much back to centre as possible. You don't lean away from it as otherwise if you clip it you'll carry on going in the direction of the lean.

Anyway someone just took Froome out.

    How is it worked out?

On a date? If so it was DDraver, he's hot for the female form in Sky/Rapha kit at the moment.

Looks to be nothing more than a bit of road rash. Should be fine and dandy, no?
