Hmm, all a bit odd. I was surprised he gained so much time so quickly - presumably he didn't. Looks like all Gentleman Bert's big mates wouldn't play ball. Chapeau to him for the effort though. Not bad by Porte but Thomas / Lopez would have been more useful if they hadn't be burned out covering Porte's workload for a couple of days.

Think we all got the graphic wrong save adr - Kirby included...

I'm still not convinced how out of sorts Porte is; I guess we'll find out at the weekend

Apparently Geraint wants to focus on one week stage races with the view to moving onto the GTs. He needs to stop getting dropped on cat 2s first.

It did say over a minute at one point, but it said 18 seconds as they went though 20k to go. Kirby was busy waffling on about nonsense at the time.

Super slo-mo of Froome rolling a joint, one-handed, in his jersey pocket.

He's spend most of the last 3 days riding the front, that won't happen if he gets given leadership. I still don't see him as a GT rider though and think he's making a mistake. He got a stage race win a week or so back though.

Please carry on it reflects my thoughts - almost as good as the AG2R rider I have never heard of taking a brief lead and Kirby telling us he was someone he picked out as a possible stage winner when the break formed. Yeah OK Carlton perhaps you can give us the lottery numbers for Friday too.

I'm a fan of GT but I have to agree with you on that one

Missed the earlier coverage. What's happened to the rest of Saxo Tinkoff - have they taken the day off ? Very poor teamwork for their GC man
