    The highest road in Europe is the 2830 m Ötztal Glacier Road in Autria, it is a dead end. The Cime de la Bonette at 2802 m is a loop road and not the highest anyway.

    The Pico de Valeta in the Sierra Nevada is a paved road at almost 3400m, so it's quite a bit higher than the Ötztal Glacier Road.

    They've been rubbish all Giro. On montecampiano when Arrendo attacked his gap yoyo'd from 30s to 2s and back repeatedly while the distance on the road never budged.

    If this gap is to be believed it now stands at 2mins and keeps going higher. Quintana the boss doing all the work with Hesjedal and Rolland hanging on. Boys behind are all riding wheels of their domestiques.......

    They need to up the chase. Tired doms are not going to stop the gap to Quintana getting bigger and it's going to be a huge amount to close down on him when he can still kick again too.
