Great finish by Ulissi. Despite attacking, Moreno just seemed to come to a standstill

Proper tough climbs these ones - dont see this in the Tour.

Way too inconsistant with flat parts.

Cracking stage, even if the GC action was a bit of a dud. Didn't think any of the isolated guys would attack, but I'm disappointed that none of the others even tried.

Some brave individual efforts IMO. I see no global disaster - there's more than enough hyperbole from professional commentators.

Ulissi could get a handful of stage wins in this Giro if the GC guys are just going to look at each other.

Contador could have beaten those riders with one leg. What a joke.

Great stage, shame Arredondo or Rolland did not win.

Yup. Think I saw Rolland ride past him again. Totally misjudged his effort.

All that work by AG2R and for what ?

    I wondered about today.
Thought Ulissi might bag number 2.
Moreno had it in the bag, except someone had put a glass wall in his way.

    Nice stage that.
No silly, monster climbs. Just Central Italy strutting it's stuff.

Too many GC boys are too busy trying not to lose to care about trying to win.

Evans saying everyone was fatigued today hence why they just rode wheels.

That close up slow-mo of Evans made him look like he is carrying a bit of spare

Who was it who said that Arredondo was overrated the other day? He is a top talent and so nearly pulled off one of the most amazing wins ever.

Italy showing it's teeth. All about judgement.
Natural for riders to run out of gas.
Not natural for long distance attacks to succeed very often.

Bertie would have done the same as Ulissi, today. First mountains of the Giro and all that.

    Pretty good stage.
Great efforts from Rolland and Arredondo.
Bit disappointing from the GC guys, but they did all look utterly shattered.
Very happy to see Kelderman up there.
Ulissi has always been a GC prospect.

Actually it was just pointed out that there's little evidence to point to him winning a 3 week GT. Blowing up today supports that.

Lots of riders well down when they shouldnt be. Probably a direct result of the crash injuries when BMC started to drill it on stage 6 on top of the energy sapping chase when Evans didnt stop.

excellent stage - other half came in with a jug of Mojito and tapas half way through - she still doesnt like the Ag2r kit ( I do) - perfect sat afternoon

reception for ulissi seems a bit muted?? seems to have found some good form

great stage . Ambitious from Rolland - wish it had paid off....very impressed with Dupont and Quemeneur - excellent team work

I just love watching Basso climb
