    We know it is a sleeve. We know it fits on a something round and can be fixed via the grub screw.

    So it can only be one thing: It is a clamp to hold a marble so that you can engrave your name on it.

    A sleeve to limit the travel of something on a shaft? Or keep a bearing in place?
