Great racing, today. What little we saw of it.

Caught the last 10km or so - thought it was really good racing, Lots of attacks, the final one proving successful. Good interesting stuff.

I saw the last 40km without an advert break and think it was on well before then.

Riders now on final circuit in Dunkerque. Eight more times round a 6.9k circuit. Leading group of five; Bagdonas (AG2R-La Mondiale), Engoulvent (Europcar), Fouchard, Zingle (Cofidis) & Mol (Veranclassic) have just under 4min advantage.

Seven more circuits with gap staying at c4 minutes. With FDJ prominent at the front of the peleton the probability of a sprint win by Arnaud Demare is even more likely than a win by Kittel in Dublin later today.

Crevaison for Demare but brought safely back by his team.

With no-one in the leading group a threat to the overall, FDJ are happy to let Giant and IAM work at closing the gap. 26k and the gap is down to 2:45

Bagdonas attacks out of lead group and has 15s gap. Peleton still another 2 mins back with 17k to finish.

Great attack and win from Engoulvent. Don't know how the peloton managed to mess that up.

Despite the best efforts of FDJ at the end, they left it just too late to pull back the last few from the original leading group.

With less than 1k to the finish Zingle and Engoulvent looked at each other, then at the fast approaching peleton, Engoulvent shook his head as if to say that's it, all over, Zingle eased off and Engoulvent attacked.

Final GC goes, for second year in a row, to Arnaud Demare with Chavanel and Andersen taking 2nd and 3rd respectively.

This year's race had some of the best racing I've watched this year.

Thanks for all the updates. This thread is bookmarked for a rainy day. Tremendous racing.

Really canny attack from Engoulvent. Using the split in the road over the bridge, Zingle didnt realise until about 2s after he'd gone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4EiZo1yMdg Last few kilometres here.
