Make sure we have a coffee and a chat before the race. It would be good to get as much info as possible about you and your team mates so the crowd can give you support.0 -
Oh and Matthew, WELL DONE on qualifying for the games.0
-
If you want to add a bit of colour:
Geraint Thomas had a pet mole called Pedro, but it escaped by burrowing out of its pen.
There's plenty more colour on lots of riders here:

Very disappointing. I thought the course would be nicely suited to Impey who could be someone to give Cav a bit of a challenge.
With no Gerrans are those OGE boys riding Le Tour either thinking that the CGRR is too soon after France or are they picking up lucrative crit monies. Or do OGE have other plans for Gerrans & Impey?0 -

Dunno. Cav, Millar, G and so on are riding though, so...
Shame for Impey, also for guys like Meintjes, Van Rensberg, Van Zyl.0 -
Wiggins NOT named in the England track squad according to Richard Moore...0

It's the BBC effect. Domestic riders will get much more exposure at the games than anything else they can do bar win TdF. Incentives not so skewed for non-Brit pros....a rare 100% loyal Pro Race poster. A poster boy for the community.0 -
'course. The BBC.
Had forgotten about them for a day or so.0 -

Hmm. Seems a tad optimistic. Supposed to go nowehere near a bike till late-Jun. Oh well, its a long list really. Register them on the start list now, but the event entry closes the day before anyway.0 -

Sharon Laws gets overlooked for the British women's road team yet again. Despite showing well through the Women's Tour and taking the QoM jersey.
Bit of a shame, seeing as Trott's & King's road performances are mediocre to say the least. They may be all-conquering on the track, but they don't seem to do much on the tarmac. Also, with Barnes & Garner in the team how many sprinters do you need?
Wonder what the story is there?0 -

It's disgraceful how every single female cyclist hoping for a place at the forthcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow has been overlooked for the British women's road team.
Scandalous I say.
You sir (or Madame) need to read a newspaper or two this year.0 -

As with last year's National Champs I think he'll have some help from David Millar and co.0 -
Great to see Hannah Barnes getting a ride on the women's road squad. That's certainly a race I'll be watching.
Any chance of Wiggo not winning the TT? Didn't think so...English Cycles V3 | Cervelo P5 | Cervelo T4 | Trek Domane Koppenberg0 -
Wiggo would need to lose a leg to lose TT gold. You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.0 -

No need to, there is no British team for anything at the forthcoming Commonwealth Games.
Interesting fact: Did you know Paxman's granny lived next door to the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome site?0 -
Oh I see, it was a snark about me having a slight brainfry and not typing English, rather than any sort of meaningful insight into the Sharon Laws situation.
Good, glad that's cleared up then.
So, Sharon Laws. Why hasn't she been selected to ride for *any country that she could possibly represent, which as I understand it, is pretty much England*, given her excellent form this season?
Alan, throw me a bone here.0
