Beautiful. I was there yesterday. The nordabfahrt from passwang was a bit dodgy though, two of our group crashed on the first right hand shaded corner of the descent where they had been felling trees. The road was very greasy there. Could have been very nasty if a car was coming the other way.0

I know exactly where you mean, I've nearly over-cooked it there a few times. What a change in the weather though, they are predicting snow up there for Wednesday!0 -
Oh well, It was good while it lasted. At least we made the most of the weather.0

Not jealous in the slightest.
Was watching Stage 9 of the 2010 Tour the other day Chris. They shot past the chalet :-)0 -

I remember it well, it was our first summer here. That was the day D.Millar rode the entire stage out the back on his own and C.Evans lost yellow after riding for 2 days with a broken elbow.
The view is a bit different today with our first snow of the winter...0 -

Lovely.
We've started to plan a return trip for Sept 2015 Chris. I've got to go back.0 -
Probably also my last big ride of the year.
Looking down the ski slope at Belchen in the Black Forest. It was covered in snow the weekend before.
My bike is in the background, but almost obscured by an excellent slice of blueberry torte from the restaurant at the top. Thats what I call a cake stop.

Thanks, you're more than welcome any time!

Lovely isn't it! I've also recently got back from Port de Pollensa but we must've been there at different times as we had some serious rain one day, but other than that absolutely beautiful.

Last week, before this weeks snow arrived,
The Bealach Na Ba - As it's only an hour or so from my house, I thought I should give it a go. Jeez I tell you, it was tough. No let-up from start to finish. Although I'm sitting about the half way mark on the Strava Segment for it, which i'm happy with.0 -
The closest we get to a traffic jam in the Highlands....

But back to topic, stupendous road! I really need to drag my ass up there and takle that pass... it seems the only UK climb worth the effort. You are appointed as my guide (which might involve minor bottle carrying and stuff)...left the forum March 20230 -

Great part of the country. That's the Cioch Nose in the middle background, one of the classic rock climbing routes.0 -
Couple of weeks ago, just along the road on the way back from a CX bimble.

Yes, that is snow on the road.
Fortunately, it arrived the day I left.
