Ha, Winner! Its the very popular Cap de Formentor / Lighthouse route in Mallorca. Thats Pollenca bay.
Pic was taken in September, ive been stuck in Berkshire since.

I have been but I didn't ride a bike, couldn't find a fixed wheel to hire. Looks very nice.

Lovely cycle around the Coast Road out of Portstewart towards Ballycastle....even seen some pink bikes still on show from the Giro passing through in 2014!

    Amazing place to cycle.

Ha! After reaching the top of that hill, finding a bike stand wasn't top of my list of priorities!

Love this time of year when the fair-weather bike comes out of hibernation. A lane somewhere in humble Kent.

    Whereabouts is the Schmidematt, Termite?

I did the Brunnersberg from Balsthal yesterday, lovely climb.

I rode up the Brunnersberg from the South a couple of weekends ago, beautiful scenery. You'll find the Schmidermatt on your left as you head from Balsthal towards Welschenrohr. It is about 7 km from Balsthal, the road is not easy to see, as it starts from the corner of a layby. There are several nice climbs along that road. If you want a real challenge, try the Weissenstein (the mountain behind the bike in the photo) from Solothurn. Its the hardest climb I know in the area, 6 km at 12%, or 8.8 km at 9% from the centre of Solothurn.

Ah, OK. Thanks. It's the one next to the Balmberg. must try it out sometime!

I've already climbed both sides of the Weissenstein and the Balmberg. we also did one loop from Solothurn that did Weissenstein Süd and Balmberg Nord and then back to Solothurn. That was a tough one, we called it the Ring of Fire!

Those are the toughest climbs as far as I know in the region.

Not long now Ibbo! You have to be numb inside to not love the lighthouse route.

I have an image of the Golden Gate bridge, but from the other side, and with a horrible hire bike.

I was with a colleague, and a few minutes before this was taken he nearly got into a fight with a couple of guys over a crab they'd caught. There was a bit of a cultural and language misunderstanding. It turned out that he wasn't actually a crab rights protester, and when he called out the Latin name of the Crustacean they were holding, he wasn't insulting them. Fortunately we left the country that afternoon.

Ignore what he said about the stem. It only needs to be flipped if it suits you (and thus your comfort on the bike) to do so.

When my tires get flat, you are responsible to come and replace it for me.
