Bollox, missed out on this thread. No-one mentioned a lovely day out to Easterhouse (good place to test the acceleration), Cumbernauld (great for testing out the chassis on any mota with the roundabouts) or the Gorbals (best place to test the bullet proof glass and quality of the build).

Cool. Sounds like my kind of vehicle. I haven't been to Glasgow in years but it is a cool place. The best Italian food I have ever eaten was in Glasgow, and the people are great. Seems to me the only people with issues with Glaswegians are other Scots. Just saying, like.Ecrasez l’infame0

It really is a great vehicle, the most comfortable vehicle I own and easily the best on fuel.
56mpg !!!!!!Living MY dream.0 -
Tunnels will fill up with water, innit? It's pumping out of the ground here. People in cars may need to slow down. Oh, hang on it is there human right to drive like a c*** everywhere. The south half of this island we share is feckin' sinking!Ecrasez l’infame0

I had a van with my last company and ended up driving that most of the time over a 3 year period, I could shift cr4p around and take the kids karting and also helped friends move home and carry equipment to exhibitions etc and I was looking for a daily driver as most of my cars are for weekend fun and not day to day driving.
I was going to get an Audi A5 Cabriolet but I only wanted it in white and no good deals were about so my son said "get a van dad" so I looked and found a black trend in Scotland with 300 miles on the clock and HALF price !!!!! It was only 3 months old too.
The clincher was the fact it had 9 seats which previously had put me off as you had to unbolt them to remove taking a few hours, now they drop in 2 seconds and can be removed in less than 30 seconds so I can take the kids and their friends to parties etc and can have a cr4p shifting wagon in a few minutes.
It has all options, bluetooth, nav, isync, xenons, turning lights, eco-drive (which I have written new software for and now does over 60 to a gallon on a run) sports seats throughout and side opening doors with security glass all round.
I love it.Living MY dream.0 -

Definitely a mountain biker, he's got a pile of dirt behind that van that he's using to build some jumpsVTech wrote:"Arran, you are like the Tony Benn of smut. You have never diluted your depravity and always stand by your beliefs. You have my respect sir and your wife my pity"

Ive been writing code for twenty years and have written for Ferrari, Lamborghini (still do now), Aston Martin and currently Ford.
You are mistaken with your honest John info as you failed to realise that I wouldn't say anything here with our backup.
At 50 I'm over 60 consistently by reducing fuel timing whilst increasing pressure and have posted videos of it on my instagram.Living MY dream.0 -
Autocar did testing independently and achieved 42.xmpg mixed, they achieved 64mpg@50mph
Why is it that people here try to disagree all the time ? it only makes them look foolish.Living MY dream.0 -

Im sure its a british thing, I really do.
British people have an inbred reasoning within the DNA to try and discredit or mock others.
Sportsmen who do well, businessmen, its everywhere.
Is it jealousy ? I'm not sure as it seems to go further than that. Its like a lack of self belief that is then bought to the surface to force that lack of belief onto others and to try and confirm the self lacking was indeed correct.
I didn't think anyone would believe the daft eco readings on honest john which is based on fake readers posting fake results.
The new eco drive ford engines are world class and market leaders, every independent test has proven them as the best so why would it in fact turn out that they are the worst in class and not even reach the media !!Living MY dream.0 -
OK, so I was feeling grumpy at the end of an annoying day at work. Sorry about that.
I can only say in my defence that:
1. (At an admittedly quick google, I don't care about this that much) I still can't find any reference to the impressive fuel consumption on the net
2. I can find plenty of references to Vtech's technical genius (all in his own posts): my own programming skills are a bit more prosaic, consisting mainly of what I teach kids in school - I challenge Vtech, or anyone for that matter, to reprogram an ECU using Scratch and
3. I am really impressed that someone who is wrong about almost everything else can have such impressive skills in their own field. True specialism.0 -
