  • I'd love to follow this race more and the TDU but with such p*ss poor coverage of both then it is hard to get into them. I could try and catch up during the day but life gets in the way. I could get up in the middle of the night and illegally watch the TDU using a VPN but I like my sleep more than a let's be honest not exactly nail biting week long stage race, even if it does have koalas, a renaissance Evans and ECHELONS!!!!!!!

Say what you like about Qatar but at least we can watch it.
    Correlation is not causation.

Ooo yes that was great. And hopefully some teams really ballsing up the TTT and getting stuck on the wrong side of central reservation barriers.

Is Quintana married? Just wondering why he was 'rocking the baby' as his celebration?

Impressive again from Gaimon...not sure whether Tom D buried himself which is why he finished over 8 mins back...I would have hoped he could have stayed with Gaimon longer.

I'm thinking that's what happened, saw this from Lucas Euser on Twitter:

    Lucas Euser ‏@lucaseuser 13h
However, watching @philgaimon suffer to a new level is really cool! Having a great team and @tomdanielson as a co-pilot gives him wings!

These are really bizarre. Briefly looked promising, then some extended slo mo (I hope) of Nairo just after the the decisive section, then random shots of spectators and an eagle (?).

No idea what the hell JRod and Nibali are here for, I really cant....anyone? They are not putting any effort in at all - disgraceful.
Nibs has suffered from an upset tummy I think FF - although so did Quintana apparently.... Warm weather training I guess it is, whilst keeping sponsors/UCI happy....

There were some nice horses around 3m20. Who do we have to beg for live coverage of this race next year?

Yeah all three of them did - maybe Quintana was able to deal with it quicker given he would have experienced similar things in Colombia.

Quotes from Nibs - he's feeling the heat, and doesnt want to go deep into the red at this early point in the season, working towards Tour etc

    "Phil Gaimon ‏@philgaimon 3h
I'm told that someone from @pocsports flew here from Europe, dropped off TT helmets, and got right back on a plane. Thank you, POC."

From an aesthetic point of view, Gaimon's gratitude is probably misplaced.

Ha nice, they should have at least stayed to see the race and have some hospitality thrown their way.

They were some lovely horses weren't they, not Camargues though. I was hoping for a few more cows if I'm honest, I mean its Argentina, home of steak!

First rider to start is Alvaro Soca at 19:20 CET, the last one is of course GC leader Phillip Gaimon at 21:50 CET. #TourdeSanLuis

Good day for Movistar, Malori wins the stage and Quintana takes over the leader's jersey.
