WTF are those, Ford Probe or something? Disgusting, anyway.
Ladies and gentlemen, what this thread is missing- a scabby diesel mondeo

You can feel the torques from here, can't you. MMMMMUncompromising extremist0 -
Ahh but a BMW 335d has more torque than all the cars in this thread put together. To simplify it for you, it puts all the other cars in this thread to shame.0

I think even the awesome smurfmat would have found those extra 100 torques hard to make use of, getting up that fecking hillUncompromising extremist0

Ahh i see. I bet that car had trouble going over speed bumps.
Out of interest, who in here likes classic American cars?0 -
I used to love a 57 chevy bel air cabriolet, but once you drive one, well all those dreams disapear.0

A car thread with no BMW 335D? the most powerful and amazing performing car in the universe?... damn it where is matt when you need him.. oh yeh banned!0

i feel pretty lucky to own the car i have always wanted (ive never been all that ambitious) it is so cool.
Looks like an 8 series, 835i?
I got the v8 version in 4.4 flavour.
there is a 5.0l version, a 4.0l and the 4.4l.
the 4.4 is available in the sport individual version meaning you get different seats, mirrors, skirts and bumpers as well as this is the only version which comes with the semi automatic box. all in all, i reckon it is the smartest overall choice. i thougth id regret not getting the v12 but the 4.4 is better looking, just as fast and a touch more economic (but you shouldnt worry about economy with a 4.4 V8 under the massive bonnet!!)0 -

I lead the team that did the engine management 'tune' (calibration in industry speak) for the twin injector cars (last ones made), I left when they threatened me with working on the Bini but did end up working on the Cooper S (Supercharged) via a later employer anyway!
Wouldn't go anywhere near a late Cooper, rust proofing was worse than a 1980's job.
I spent about 2 years building a 1430 5 speed with everything stripped out. Used to annoy stupid essex boys in GTis and XR3 by out running them through country lanes until the f**king sub frame sheared.Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

I love these range rovers. I think they are the best looking land rover or range rover ever. The new ones dont look anywhere near as appealing. Either these or an early defender.
Hate to be banging on about my uncle in here but he is a proper petrol head with many nice cars. Here is his range rover. Its a V8 and it sounds amazing! He says its properly slow though. Haha!
That boat on the back has a diesel engine from a Citroen ZX in the back, home made job. I get a ride on it every year when i go Cyprus0 -
Range rovers of that era are sublime both in looks and engineering terms. I once knew a man who named his son Spencer because he owned several CSK model rangeys.0

The new ones just get driven by footballers or other posh tw@s. (As a general stereo type). Thats why James May called it the "range rooney".
And why do rich people always buy Bentleys?0 -

If your rich, more likely to want comfort, if you dont buy a Rolls or a Bentley what else you gonna buy?
I must say the older i get the more i fancy a Rolls, but not one of those small ones, i like the Phantoms, but then i'd need someone to drive it for me, because obviously if i could afford one of those i could afford a few grand a year for a driver.
Now where's that lottery ticket?0 -
I know its an image and luxury sort of thing. But i know full well id rather spend all that money on something like a Ferrari 458. Something that sets you out from all the other rich people. And is cheaper to run. And is faster. And is smaller, which has its parking benefits. Oh, and its mostly like going to be red. So even better.
A Rolls would be a far better choice. At least they look nice, and have some sort of a character, with their more retro styling. If i were rich id still buy a supercar over either of the two though.0 -

That car is amazing, but this is the best onboard ive seen. Look at how much of a handful it is.

Doesn't help that it was wet for the gt40...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dElFiQcLsp8 - now that would be a real handful. And what an awsome car.0 -

Yeah thats why it was a handful...

Not enough hot hatches in this thread, and as far as I'm concerned Ford are boss.
The Fiesta just looks nuts!!
Moving up the ladder slightly, I'd love an F-Type, without doubt the best looking and probably est sounding car on sale today
I would even settle for the V6s, don't need the V8, 375bhp will do just fine thanks!0 -

i like your style..... we had one of the last 250 John Cooper S Works off the line..... rust proofing was shoddy..... but the car could smoke XR2i's all day long...... 90bhp.... and a 5 speed box was a dream to drive.... awesome as an 18 year old.... (yes it was the parents car.... and yes i did buy my own after a while.... 1L nova  what a come down!! )It's a boy , It's a boy , I Shouted Running Into The Street With Tears Running Down My Face.....

Another option i was thinking about was this, so i could still put the dog in, 4x4 for the lanes, and fast as fook.
But its not exactly a looker is it.0 -
I think if I had the money I'd buy a Motore Centralle R230 and have it made to look like a 1.2 pop.
That would scare the f*ckers at the lights.
