Grips are one of those completely personal items on a bike. I much prefer lock ons as they are just much less faff. My favourites are ODI ruffians. But they are a bit pricey. I've just received some 'ruffian clones' form On One for £5.99 - look good - how they wear only time will tell

I wish Superstar would hurry up and get their bloody black lockrings back in stock.

Please point out where I ever advocated choosing grips based on weight, however for the same grip 'functionallity' (useability or whatever) then I'll choose the lightest thanks.

Easy to say it's only 30g, but apply that to every part on the bike and that's a lot of weight, so why grips should be different to any other part escapes me, still if you'd be happy for me to ballast every part of your bike to the equivalent weight of say Acera (which works perfectly well) adding circa 30-60g per part, I'm sure you'll be happy having a small tinkle before the ride to save the weight of one of those!
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

Please point out where I said you did.

I wouldn't want foam grips myself, even if they were a kilo lighter, they feel awful.

Could do, but I like the 150mm wide Superstar Size Zeros, and want the closed end caps. And the Uberbike's don't come in pretty colours...

I went for the Uberbike for the GF to put on her RR 5.3 - Green w Purple rings (her theme!).

Got to collect them from Royal Mail, but I'll be sure to visit the little boys room for both a Number 1 and Number 2 before I do - want to make sure I'm carrying as little weight as possible

Cheers. I had another look last night and found it. I'd originally looked at the "lock on grips" page, which only offers black, white and grey, I hadn't seen the grip builder link.

I'm actually quite tempted to buy those pink ones now...

The yellow rings are actually gold, and I hate anything gold. Been thinking of ordering a set of Saint pedals (cheaper than Superstars currently), but the little bit of gold on the axle is putting me off...

Maybe pink with blue rings...

May as well if you like the pedals otherwise. Ends caps get scratched up anyway.

Tbh, I actually prefer the looks of the Superstar Nanos, but the Saint quality for less than Superstar price seems a good deal. I was annoyed the first time I bashed my Wellgo B54s on a rock, but they've had plenty more scrapes since. Occasionally I'll disguise them a bit with the marker pen.

    Nice!

    Moove....? http://www.moovebikeco.com/

I think I'm leaning towards these after asking about flat/ platform pedals on another thread I kicked off (viewtopic.php?f=20005&t=12947785&p=18609457#p18609457). Either these or the SS anyway.

I've looked at the Mooves too. Those, the Superstars and Exotics all look very similar.
