Few minor updates on this - new front tyre (rubber queen folding) and a planet x pro carbon cage.
And at the chase on NYE:
Might go 1x9 with one of these:
But leave the granny on to manually change with fingers just in case.Framebuilder

She's still going strong - just fitted some Superstar Half Flange in Blue, look better than expected tbh. Been on some fantastic rides on this bike and its been absolutely brilliant. I was needing to bleed the brakes before but after using a rubber band to strap the lever to the bars overnight the brakes feel good as new!

Alright,
Bizango still going well. Just fitted a Btwin Dropper Post - for £30 I couldn't resist. First impressions after a little ride around the garden are that its a nice bit of kit. The lever is super easy to pull up, and also easy to locate. Return action is silky smooth and quick enough that its where you want it in time but isn't going to do any damage to the crown jewels. Lowering the seat-post is not quite as quick and was a little jerky at first - seems to have smoothed up a bit after a few up and down cycles. I suppose it gives you more time to pick the height you are after. Overall a good bit of kit and the looks far outdo its £30 price tag. Only minor downside is that it is pretty heavy but tbh this bike and the rider aren't lightweights so I don't think I'll notice it much

Also chucked on a Charge Spoon saddle to match the road bike a few weeks back, but didn't think it was worthy of updating this thread at the time.
Oh and an XT rear mech, the Deore lost a battle with a rock and for only a fiver extra i picked up an XT as a replacement.Framebuilder

I've one myself, all stock apart from the seat. Just ordered the same dropper post for thirty quid and really need to change the grips.
Great bike0 -
