Have you noticed the match commentary on the BBC is now heavily sanitised to the point they don’t offer an opinion that the player went down rather easily.elbowloh said:I honestly have no idea what constitutes a penalty nowadays.
The Harry Kane penalty yesterday, Adan Lallana is clearly just trying to win the ball. Harry Kane, looks at the man and his only intention is to get in the way and impede him He has no intention and makes no effort to win the ball. If anything he fouls Lallana in my view and the way he bends over means lallana goes over him and falls dangerously. I honestly don't know why its a penalty.
You see other "fouls" where a player get to the ball first, but then clears the player out with their follow through and a penalty is given. However, when an attacker gets a shot in, but is then cleared out after the ball has gone it is never given as a penalty.
It's bizarre. So you can win the ball, but its given as a penalty, or you can arrive really late, get no where near the ball and it's not!
Kane should be ashamed of himself considering he’s supposed to be Captain of England rather than a cheating cunt . Salah has always gone down easily
It’s about time the refs started clamping down on this behaviour. It’s embarrassing.“Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Teach a man to cycle and he will realize fishing is stupid and boring”

Or if your name is Jack Grealish you fall over if a player comes within a foot of you and the ref gives you a free kick.
What gets given and what doesn't is utterly baffling. Look at what Harry Maguire gets away with!0 -
If you go to Funchal, Madeira, you may see Christiano Ronald's statue. Don't get too close or it will fall over.0

It wasn't the first time he's done that either. For someone with all that talent, he's a pathetic cheat.elbowloh said:I honestly have no idea what constitutes a penalty nowadays.

Not a bad weekend of PL footy"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0

Today we've got 2 defenders penalised where the ball strikes their arms. Both have their arms in "natural" positions, they're running and both try to get out of the way, but aren't able to. The only thing they could have done is to try and run with their arms behind their backs...which is totally unnatural and they'd end up falling over and not being able to run back as fast.0

Reading still top of the Champ after 3 straight defeats! The defeats feel normal, the league position not so much!0

Time for a Bump. Apparently this is on sale in the Liverpool club shop. Looks great in the middle of the table

Funny how Stevo gets more vocal when Chelsea seem more solid 🤔
Watching more footie lately. Don’t support either but seem to tune in more often when Tottenham or manu are playing. Interesting to see how bale has progressed. I’d written him off as disinterested and happy to just take his 500k a week but looks to have his confidence back now.
Watched a bit of Bayern vs Dortmund at the weekend. Lewandowski is still ‘the man’ but if I was a manager anywhere I’d be breaking my @rse to buy Haaland. Brilliant player, speed, strength, skill, can score from anywhere but best of all is his attitude, he expects to score and really beats himself up when he misses an opportunity. He wants to be the best and will be. Mbappe has even more talent but too many years spent looking up to Neymar might have turned him into a Prima Donna.Pinno, מלך אידיוט וחרא מכונאי0 -
Its tragic for Liverpool when they're nearly (but not quite) as shyte as Arsenal. How the mighty fallpinno said:The old one's are the best.

Hope Man Utd and arsenal do well tonight, as much as it pains me to have no Liverpool there, 4 x uk clubs in the European finals is a very, very, very slight comfort1

How Chelsea only managed to keep it down to 2 goals I have no idea!0

I've not yet worked out which bunch of trophy dodgers you support Seano? Please don't tell me you're an Arsenal fanseanoconn said:

Don’t tend to watch Chelsea often but caught a bit of the second half and they were playing very well, plenty of pace, crisp passing and good movement. Might be a close final. I’d prefer a team in the final from one of the other European leagues as its more exciting and less like a standard premiership fixture.Pinno, מלך אידיוט וחרא מכונאי0

We wasted a few decent chances - could have had them dead and buried well before Havertz scored.seanoconn said:Don’t tend to watch Chelsea often but caught a bit of the second half and they were playing very well, plenty of pace, crisp passing and good movement. Lampard's reputation as a coach wasn't too bad until Tuchel showed what that squad were capable of.
Huge game at the weekend for my lot Derby against Sheff Wed - could be literally winner takes all though Wednesday need Rotherham not to win. Pains me to say it but I can't see Sheff Wed not winning and odds of 10:3 on them staying up look very attractive given Rotherhams recent results. Lot of rumours locally that administration is on the way .[Castle Donington Ladies FC - going up in '22]0 -
I was listening to the Derby-Swansea game on the radio in the car last Saturday on the way back from dropping my kid back at uni. Was looking good for Derby at first. It would help if you had a manager who can speak EnglishDeVlaeminck said:Lampard's reputation as a coach wasn't too bad until Tuchel showed what that squad were capable of.

They've been ahead quite often recently then as soon as they concede they just collapse.
It's a huge mess - most think Rooney was only appointed manager to get out of his playing contract - he was playing so badly and the deal was 32 Red paid 3/4s of it so long as he was in the team - so we literally couldn't afford to drop him. Trouble is how do we get out of his managers contract!
The prospective new owner is a Spaniard called Erik Alonso - he couldn't make himself appear more of a car crash in waiting if he tried.[Castle Donington Ladies FC - going up in '22]0 -

Even if Arsenal were in the conference i'd still support them.
Unlike the average Manure/Chelski fan.
Apart from the Chelski's CL success, they are a poor 2nd to Arsenal's history.
Top flight league wins: 13
FA Cups: 14
Chelsea: 6 and 8 respectively.
I'd say Man C are odds on. Chelsea have to scrap to keep their league position whereas City have it in the bag really.
Pep has been there before.
Stevo better hope that Chelsea win or he'll never hear the end of it.
