Finally got round to watching this, good to see some cycling back on Eurosport! Quite like Hammond, only one complaint was the use of the word "Podiumed" which is a terrible thing all the sports commentators are coming out with these days!0

He is, but I don't think he will.

U23 race this morning excellent! There was a stuffed fox on a skate board in the crowd! Belgium 1-2-3. Superb racing. these champs are an absolute must to watch.
EDIT: apologies meant to say race won by Thijs Aerts with a sublimely well timed ride. Peeters in second place.0 -

My bad, great race . I like the course design as well. It switched back nicely to give good views for the fans. the "bridge" was good too. Aerts rode so well, at one point when he was acting as a spoiler in 4th /5th position against the young dutch lad who heartbreakingly missed out on a medal but when his three team mates came back to him he seized his moment very well.0 -
You can see how some of these young lads can step up early onto the road0

Meanwhile Vos is absolutely bossing the women's race. Compton had a bad start, and nowhere near. Wyman 4th at the moment

Wyman moved to 3 - good chance of a medal, although Sanne Cant is close behind0
-
Vos wins, Lechner 2nd, Wyman bronze0
-
Vos's bike handling skills so so so so superior to any of the other women in the race. No hesitation full gas from start to finish. Great ride by Wyman but I can't help but think she could have challenged for 2nd had she not have lost so much time by being so tentative on the bike.
Compton came back so well then just crumbled, injury?0 -

Vos. Just wow.0
-
The course was clearly muddiest and hardest for the junior race. No rain last night and sunny today, so faster today for te men. Pity0
-
master class by Van Aerts in the U23s. Belgium 1,2,4 &5. what a nation!0
-
Clearly an off day for Van der Poel. Too much pressure in front of a home crowd?0

What's the best feed to watch on? I seem to recall last season there was an official UCI feed. Also, what the race schedule today? Wish I'd agreed to go out there with a couple of my club mates now.0

There is the Official UCI channel on YouTube.
Is there a better 'all round' cyclist than Vos? Incredible talent. All Road/ Gravel: tbcWinter: tbcMTB: tbcRoad: tbc"Look at the time...." "he's fallen like an old lady on a cruise ship..."0 -
People will say that Vos lacks serious competition but there's no denying she has pretty much everything a top cyclist needs. She can win on the road in pretty much any situation, has an excellent sprint and has the handling skills to match. I suppose her weakest area is climbing on the real mountains. Hard to believe she is still only 26!0

Depends on if you can stand Anthony McCrossan or not. Elite men are on at 2:00 (Welsh time...)0 -

He rallied himself with a lap and a half to go and rode flawlessly from then on. If he had ridden like that from the start it could have been a different tale. I suspect pressure as you say.0 -
