Was a group at degla on Friday, most were riding 5's and Alpines and being ridden well.
I like the idea of riding a British built bike, it's just they look so dated and ugly.
Still, it's on my list of 3 to Demo next year. The other 2 being Yeti's SB66 and Cove G-Spot.0 -

Having ridden both the 5 and SB66, the Yeti walks rings around the Orange, and I'm not saying that just because it's a 5. The SB66 is a very, very good bike.0 -

Forget the Cove, it's heavy and very dated.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Awesome bike mate. You see lots of serious riders using these bikes. Lovin the green as well. I can understand its hard to color code other parts when the frame is so strikingly bright.

Picking up a 2012 Orange 5 team green on Saturday. Was gonna buy an SB66 frame and do it up over the next 6 months, but the 5 looks amazing. I'll get some pics up once collected.0 -

A fine looking bike. I think the alpine looks way better than the 5. Lemon must be doing something right as these bikes are selling by the bucket load and you don't see too many of them on ebay.Nothing ventured, nothing gained. http://doricdiversions.com

how can you tell :?
*actually a serious question*0 -
Crossbar is totally different, as is the swing arm. Differences are quite subtle, until you stick the bikes next to each other, then it's all pretty obvious.0

swing arm on alpine like a heckler and its got a bit between toptube and seattube0

You appear to have caught a bit of plastic between both hour wheels and the fork/frame.0

Now after drooling over my 5. You must have upgraded this a little. I was looking on a site called uberbike, they do anodised fasteners, do them in Titanium as well. My 5 is staying nice and subtle, but the Crush is gonna be bling as f@&k. Not fancy a reverb? The new Renthal carbon bars are mint as well.0

I'm fancying some floating rotors and maybe braided hoses and cables tbh. Its just had a service and an air can service plus a maxxis minion dhr2. Being buying tools with what spare cash I've got atm, definitely looking into a dropper but £200 or so quid I'm not that fussed id rather get of and change the position. I haveseen a satori one that looks pretty good and is rather inexpensive.SHUT UP AND RIDE!!!

Aye, that bike is crying out for a dropper post! 1x10 too, no idea why they still spec it with a dual ring.
I found my alpine to be a little too slack to be honest, it's maybe a little slacker than the stock 2014 alpine - I think you probably need to be really quick to get the most out of it! And it wasn't much fun uphill either. Should be fine once I stick the regular headset back in.0 -
Looks more like an Apple than a Lemon in green.0
