Not convinced by the GPS data, Wiggins was similar to Phinney but at the time check was quite a bit quicker.

Like I said, it's not as accurate as everyone assumes and it definitely isn't what you want to use to measure gaps on the road to the level of individual seconds. Chris Boardman keeps going on about "losing a second" and so on, there's no way to tell whether that's true or it's just GPS fluctuations.

Love the wagon-wheel effect of Tony Martin's Zipps on the TV coverage.

Yeah, why do wheels appear to be going backwards :?

Ah, Wiggins if riding just to power maybe he should have asked for time checks IF he was behind, he'd be an idiot not to.

Boardman and Brotherton still haven't worked out how the GPS timing display works have they. Adamant that Martin is behind Cancellara when it is clearly saying he is ahead!

Why are they not understanding that Martin is ahead of FC? Martin has a negative split to the reference time, which is Cancellara's! Which means he's ahead! Wtf... this isn't hard!
  • Can someone pls tell Simon Brotherton the difference between '-' and '+'

Anybody think it may come back to bite Bradley on the ars* - his not taking time checks?
Not really. If he can go faster he should go faster, regardless of what anyone else is doing.
not sure 'bout that...reckon you can always find more otherwise you get into a rut where you think you are going absolute full gas

All over for Wiggo. Hope he can squeeze a medal.
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.
  • Wiggo 37 secs down on Martin. is this Game Over?

Aye. I think he needs to stop saying "I'm in the shape of my life", because err, well, he isn't.

For his chances of winning, yes. Could still get on the podium, although even that's looking a bit iffy at the moment.

It may not be much help if you're at work but I'm going to try Hula Unblocker extension for Chrome to watch Friday's U23 YouTube stream

thanks for that, i found that if i load them at home then "sign in" to chrome at work and let it do all the syncing, then things can get installed that would nt get past the usual blocks...

I just tested this extension quickly and it works when choosing, for example, Hong Kong YouTube.
  • still a long way to go. reckon wiggo will do this
