Its nothing as sinister as me hacking although what do you refer to as hacking and can it be done ?

To explain:
To log into someones PC through a BB isnt easy, you need a gateway, a way in so usually through an email or the like which gives an entry. Other than that on the whole your all pretty safe as a real hacker wouldnt be interested in you unless you had something serious for them to discover.


To view sites people are viewing on the other hand is very simple and in no terms relates to hacking, to view people logged to a BB is simple, a quick I.P scan reveals EVERYONE linked to a thread, even if they are trying to hide behind a bouncer !
This alone however doesnt always help, if 30 people are viewing the same thread how do you tell who is linked and to what other part of the net ?
The simple answer is you wait until its just you and them, then you have the single I.P and scan that I.P to view where they are, what they are doing.

Maybe bored on a flight somewhere, maybe in the office twiddling thumbs or maybe wondering what someone is doing whilst going MASIVELY out their way to mock someone on a forum. You could call it curiosity.

Checking up on people then posting what they are up to could seriously affect some people who might see it as blackmail and then comit bla bla bla insert the usual trite Vtech answer here.

I think anyone who does this form of bullying should be banned from the forum.

Absolutely, and as with everything, you are more than welcome to speak with the mods and if they see fit I am up for a ban. Unlike some however, I do not go out of my way to harm or cause offence to anyone, I have been nothing but polite whilst on here and you wont find anyone who has, nor any instance where I have gone out of my way to upset someone. Its just not my style, I believe in karma.

Why would I do that ? I dont take this kind of thing seriously, like I said, it is mainly small minded people who threaten others and go out of their way to hurt them. These people need help, not anger.

I agree with you, Sloppy. I can't imagine anyone on a forum would go to the bother to find out where I have surfed, but whatever floats your boat. If anyone on here wants to know, I would give them a list of my browsing history, it is no big deal. That list may not be for Mikey though. :shock:

The fact that it was stated that member X was seen filling out application forms online, suggests a deeper level of surveillance though, or was that just an assumption?
