Shap and Skelmeresdale are in the lakes you tw4t. You don't get out much do you?

Skelmersdale is in West Lancashire!! 30 miles from the Lakes.

Shap isn't in the Lakes either... it's in Cumbria.
Exactly RideOnTime, exactly. Although the Lakes are in Cumbria

I think there is a clear distinction between 'The Lakes' and the rest of Cumbria. Shap is in the Cumbria outside 'The Lakes'. Taking 'The Lakes' as the NP boundary which is normal I think.

Does Skelmersdale have any redeeming features? Any Skelmersdaleians?

Anyone know good the A5 here is for cycling, or does the traffic mean is it best avoided?

Similarly the A4086 Llanberris pass and A4085 Caernarvon to Beddgelert road?

None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

The A5 can have some fast moving traffic but it isn't hugely busy for an A road, I'd ride it but there should be plenty of other better cycling roads in the area. I haven't ridden in the area myself but there are a few around the forum who know the area. Llanberis Pass is fine for cycling on. Don't know the A4085.

EDIT tell a lie, I have driven the A4085 and from memory it is a narrow, fairly quiet road and should be fine to cycle on.

Everyone looks a bit tentative like this ford is 3-foot deep. There's a guy without a bike did it get swept away in a torrent? I like the rear view of the blonde girl with the platts - she looks both quizzical, robust and yet retains feminity.

Anyway back to this Ford thing...

Was my first thought, it looks like the road on the western side that leads to the Bwlch y Groes but I couldn't recall there being a ford there.

I know the road you mean and have ridden it - but no its not that one. The pic was taken within about 20 miles or so though. Ok no more clues

This must be the worst answer since the dearly assumedbly departed Mr gnu (god rest his fat, gastric banded, lovelorn dildo waving, drunk soul if he has passed on) used to post on the online gooner, is it whitstable to every where was i thread before his ban, even though he knew it was whitstable as he posted it.
