Is a drizzling wet Saturday morning and can't be -ed going outside, so time for a recap on this.
Is within a day's (assumption alert) round trip from Montreux, you carried your passport so crossed the Swiss - French border into the French south side of Lake Geneva, and is a ski resort.
I don't know that part of the French Alps, tended to the Annecy, Val Thorens, Tignes side.
So guesswork / process of elimination starts, unless further clues forthcoming.
