Afore ye all go, doesn't it seem as if some of these guys have been riding for about a hundred years?
Voigt, O'Grady, Kloden, Millar, Zubeldia for instance.

There's a real need for some orthodontic work in the OPQS team.

    That was Trentin's first pro-victory.

He has a weird accent. Not very Italian. Ah, I see he is from Trentino, that explains the 'Austro-Germanic' sound.

Yup - I do enjoy a good scrap among a decent break at the end. Not sure if it's just me but they seem to be rare beasts these days

Pro tip for Carlton: try speaking actual words in the final kilometre instead of random screaming noises.

I thought he covered the last 10kms quite well today......kinda warming to him as the days go on.

    Controversy Alert...

    Julien Prétot ‏@julienpretotRTR
Chris Froome skips mandatory Tour de France news conference on the eve of the Ventoux #tdf

Kind of hope its cos he thinks he should nt take any of the shine off of the breakaway people, but probably not...

Super ride by Simon. Panache indeed. He has a nice touch of speed in the sprints but thought to take it up early then even on getting caught he said afterwards he still thought he could win.

Shame that Trentin won given he did nothing and sat on the back of the original break for a lot of the time I was watching though. Played it well though and the speed in the finale was not easy riding. He said afterwards that yes he has a turn of speed and he has learned a few things about sprinting from Cavendish.

Crowds were insane at the end and there were some real idiots including that policewomen on a blind corner - Simon said afterwards that he didn't even notice her he was so in the zone.

That final climb with the wide hairpins was brilliant. Too much of a run in though.

No French winner so far. Will they get it on the 14th I wonder.

I did wonder how many ways to answer "So Chris, you sat in the bunch and rode tempo all day today then" there are...

ugh, i'd failed to notice tomorrows stage goes through Valence.

A young Goat once spent a couple of days there... it was the worst. The international museum of shoes is not worth admittence.

As I suspected. This confirms he would not have seen the red car in front, and thus wouldn't have been "egged on"
