I upped my hill work before I went to France recently, knowing I would be doing some of the Cols. I shed 5lbs which made a difference and went up Beeley Hill in Derbyshire as many times as I could bare. It had a massive impact on both my physical endurance up hills, mental state and ability to set a rhythm and stick to it. Get doing some reps at a steady rate as it does help.0
