Well that told him, well said Northwind. Plus the fact Cotic have been going 12 years, I think they're a know 'quantity'.

Clueless the firm making them less than a year ......

no the really fun part Northwind is I dont care how it happens ,I don't drone on about how ace whatever i'm riding ,ridden, supporting at the moment.

I would try and make a point to what you just said... If only your point was remotely comprehensible.

No problem I just disregard anything you have to say as another fanboi

Why are you posting in this topic if you dont own, dont plan on owning, have never ridden and dont like any Cotic bikes?

Gonna call troll on this one.

Blimey, someone needs to go back under the bridge to find his dummy.
  • I think I am going to push the button on a Solaris frame for a steady build over the next few months. I would like a Soul but as I currently ride a 29" wheeled bike it makes sense to stick with what i know. Then again I will possibly change my mind come order time as that gritstone Soul is damn nice to look at.

His basic grasp of the English language confuses me. What is his point? That we're fanboi's? I find it odd he talks so lowly of fanoboism, yet only a few posts ago he was saying we should buy a proven brand, like Orange... Nothing speaks fanboi more than recommending an Orange, simply because I see very little reason to own an Orange. All I can say is, the force is most definitely not strong with this one...

Your Welsh I see so obviously you wouldn't understand a great deal but I will dumb it down for you

A few posts ago I pointed out that Orange were known be it for shitty whatever , this is a well known fact (I ride a Giant they make bikes for other people and are good at it )it might fall to bits and its a lottery wether you have to pay or not for warranty after its fallen off the chairlift and been used on the moon YAWN YAWN YAWN im sure Northwind will be along to tell you all everything is all right and issue group hugs ,just as soon as he's done telling every other forum on the internet how ace his Soulasodahemlockaroadrat has been.

Some other simpleton said Cotic have been at it for 12 years, yup they sure have been importing chinese tat for 12 years but they havent made a single thing themselves, now however theyv'e gone further by trying to gain a bit of awesumz .....oooh we make them in Britain now all swoon now.

Er by a company no one has heard of by a bloke with no track record of bikes either.......and the fanbois lap it up as the wool is pulled over their blinkers........ lolz

Now dont get me wrong I was ready to downgrade to one from my current ride but it seems its just vaporware Nada nothing at least I can buy an Orange

Brocahontas, what is your obsession with 'fanbois'? Why did you join this forum? Genuine questions by the way.

I'm actually not Welsh at all, I go to university in Wales... I'm also by no means a Cotic fanboi, sure I own one, it's a damn good bike, it was a decent price and it looks good, I'd recommend it to anyone. The folks who post in this thread like their bikes and want to share them, they're not being fanbois, they're just chuffed they have a great bike and what's wrong with that?

Whooo we have a bite, a proper Orange frap boy and spuds deep in the five's designers single pivot chocolate starfish.

Seems to have bypassed said bell housing Orange spent most of the early years importing frames from taiwan. Now they knock out a clockwork 25 from some Taiwanese factory, throw some hope purple tat at it and charge people a billion pounds for it.

Except dick raper I don't own an orange and ordered one of the first 50 UK 650b rockets when it's out be careful as you tumble off your high horse ,

    Anyway, back to Cotic. ..

I know this is the MTB side but what are peoples thoughts on the new Escapade road/cx frame they announced yesterday? Basically a roadrat with a shorter top tube to take drop bars. Im seriously tempted.

TBH it just seems like they're going full circle, the old Roadrat did drops too. And, mmm, maybe it's just me but it looks pretty tall and leggy at the front. But hey, I'm not the target market.

    Good colours though!
