My Cotic BFe, had her for maybe 6 months and really love it. It's got quite a stealth colour scheme going on (not particularly on purpose as I had a lot of the parts already and new bits only came in black)

About time. A cotic thread
Nice bikes there fellas. Will get some pics of mine up tomorrow. Going for a local blast tomorrow0 -

My bfe. More pics and spec in my sig. old pic but I've only changed the seatpost clamp to a superstar one and I broke the seat so I put my ragley one on. Apart from that it's been awesome!0 -
This thread is overdue - the soul and BFe are two brilliant bikes0

Not disco disco but a real slice of my kind of colour scheme. Only ridden properly once....managed to get my wrist in a pot shortly after the second photo was taken. Not to worry....it's coming off in a few days...0 -
Do love that colour!Timmo.

Oh well OK then...
Started with a Soul... Rode this all over, it basically taught me how to ride a bike. Lovely. I had a Scandal before, then I demo'd the Soul and never had a good ride on the On One again, it just felt so poor by comparison. Seen here during a rather muddy 10 Under The Ben
Then along came a bouncing baby Hemlock- I bought this on Ebay, while drunk. Great success!

It's built a little heavy these days- coil lyriks, Butchers, works components slackening headset, all tough durable kit for alps trips, enduro racing etc. 32lbs despite weightweenying. The sort of bike you can rag round glentress but then the next week take to fort william. Love this bike, absolutely love it. I've broken it twice mind- snapped the swingarm after the endurance downhill race, and cracked the original 120mm rocker at fort william. But fair enough I reckon! Cotic were brilliant both times, I bought it used and I told them "I hammer the **** out of it so I can't fault it for breaking, how much to buy a replacement part", they wouldn't hear of it. Absolutely top stuff.
But, having a big slack monster of a full suss made me wish the Soul was a bit meaner too, so in the end I replaced it with a Ragley, and then with a BFe. I didn't like the Bfe much tbh, it was a lump. Only known photo!

(that's my brother in the pic, at Learnie)
Most recent addition is an old-model Soda... This one was pre-cracked, I got the frame from Singletrackworld for buttons then got Enigma to weld it back up, then threw all the rigid bits off my carrera onto it. It is just silly tbh, so light that it's quite hard to ride, but great fun. Just got it a set of Sids so it can be a proper bike from time to time.

Thought I'd join in,
Been lurking on the forum for ages and thought why not join in with a conversation.
Built this Bfe early this year. Sold a Specialized FSR XC frame and moved most of the parts over to the Cotic frame.
Took a fair few rides to get used to a steel hardtail, initially wanted to go back to a full suspension bike but stuck with it. Now absolutely love it. Goes without saying it's very different to a XC suspension bike but once I learned how to ride the hardtail I just keep wanting to go out on it all the time. It's so much fun.
Went for the Gritstone in large.
Mostly Shimano XT groupset, Saint brakes, Hope Pro 2 hubs with mavic xc717 rims.
Love it love it love it!!!0 -
Nice and subtle there fella, like it!
Am currently trying to deny the Urge to buy Bright PINK grips at the mo! Haha!Timmo.

My first generation Soul purchased back in 2006 or 2007 ( I forget) on a very hot and sunny day at CwmCarn. After a few years of abuse and a top tube ding it went to Argos Cycles in Bristol, losing it's orginal red paintwork in the respray it got there. I had Argos replace the original closed top tube/seat stay hose guides with open, zip-tie, guides and had the ding sorted out at the same time. Lovely bike!

Cheers. You get change from £25 a pair on ebay for them. Worth a go0 -
quick shot from tuesday evening, was taken at 21:15 out on the coast path, Beautiful ride!
forgot to add, popped some new grips on too!
i'd been using superstar ones for a while but the last lot wore out form easter to june, and these were a tenner!! - most likely due to the mildly shocking colour! and as my old lizard skins are still useable after 4 years figured why not!! also a bit of a thing in the club about fitting or using something Rediculously Bright pink after one guy got some trot lee gloves in that colour gratis with an order recently! :-DTimmo.

My Cotic BFe. Now with Exotic flat pedals and a Shimano RT76 rotor on the rear. Front one will have to wait until next pay day.
Any suggestions for some forks? I'm tempted by some 32 Float RL Evo by Fox...0
