Abbott 52 seconds ahead of them.
Abbott won the Giro Donne back in 2010 and has had a two year break from racing, coming back this year.0 -

It looks like they have at least one shy girl on the team.
What exactly is this all about? Have the race organisers asked each team to come up with a little "act" for their presentation to the fans at the start of each stage?

Impressive from Luperini.frenchfighter wrote:Fabiana Luperini
36 year old Italian who has won the Giro Femminile a record five times and the Grand Boucle Feminine three, leaving her mark on the climbs. These titles have been won over a 13 year period which is quite unheard of in cycling. She lives near Monte Serra which she climbs at least three times a week. She has four Italian Road Race titles to her name.
Having not seen her in action, I have only what I have read to go on, but apparently she climbs with apparent ease, always arriving looking fresh at the finish.Contador is the Greatest0 -

Really chuffed that Thai sprinter Jutatip Maneephan managed to finish the stage albeit in next to last place and over 40 minutes down.0

Think it's a low budget of OGE's Call me Maybe thing (or the rock video I suspect they re planning)We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

Epic stuff. Abbott is looking pretty ripped too. I noticed Vos seemed to be wearing knickers yesterday (st 5), that must chaff a bit on the climbs.
The speeds of the lead riders are pretty high on the climbs, they actually look quicker than the men's Giro riders back in the 70s.BASI Nordic Ski Instructor

Bugger. The commissaires are taking no prisoners these days. Surely a 10 or 20 minute penalty might have been a more suitable punishment? I know rules are rules but expulsion from a race should be reserved for the dopers and someone who assaults or endangers another rider. Even expelling the riders outside the time limit is a tough call.
Luperini is also riding a tiny bike so I guess they didn't add quite enough weight to bring it up to the 6.8kg weight limit.

Vos won a sprint stage today apperently, but TBH I'd switched to following the other race.0
