I don't have any kids so I didn't get anything.

I'd like to know what toasted sandwich maker everyone recommends though. I said to Miss6899 yesterday, that I really want to have one in my life. My parents used to have one and I regularly tried to eat my own body weight in melted cheddar and wafer thin ham!

6 cards in all (homemade) from the 3yo twins, plus a couple of Peppa Pig chocolate hearts.

    And a lie-in til 9:15!

No card, but a handmade felt porkpie hat from my 19 & 17 yo's. Good costume kit for the ska band I'm in.

Am putting a sandwich toaster on my birthday list - yum!

My 7 year old presented me with a beautifully wrapped but completely empty box. I unwrapped it and she proceeded to kill herself with laughter! Made me chuckle. There was a real present, 2 espresso cups (mille millia and nurburgring) and a hand made card with a bike on the front.

We then went to eat pain au chocolat and drink coffee while watching some friends do a sprint tri, then we both degreased, cleaned, and lubed the bikes then the 3 of us went for a 10 mile ride, before having a BBQ.

    Nice weekend!

Wife + 6yo + baby up and in the car at 7:30am to drop me off for a ride, in some new British Cycling kit they bought me, followed by pub lunch together where I got a Scalextric Team GB Velodrome game that they had found in a charity shop. Bargain!

I use a George Foreman grill. Not specifically designed for the job but excellent none the less.

£9.99 tesco black and chrome edition works for me :)
Its a consumable, like an iron so no need spending a fortune on what will only last around 2 years anyway.

They never come out as well from those things in my experience, just make them under the grill. Don't forget to butter the outside of the toast before grilling it though.

Rock Racing Jersey, a pair of Jasper Conran jeans, some chocs and a massive cuddle. The last one was the best.

Nothing on the day from my sons, but they are paying for all the meals and petrol and dinner out on Friday night on our annual visit to Le Mans. Will be away for 5 nights camping at Haux Annex starting Wednesday night.
If its only half as good as last year it will be memorable !!

I got a "Daddy, dad" photo frame with a photo of me and the 3 kids in Cornwall last Feb, bottle of Paco Rabanne million, free Paco Rabanne million cheap and nasty holdall and a copy of The eagle greatest hits, proper Dad present. Got four cards, inside which was a handwritten voucher for a new cycling jersey up £100, to spend when I want, good day. Then had fajitas and ice cold beers after a 3 hour ride in the afternoon. Happy days.

PS, just butter the outside of 2 slices of bread, put ham and cheese in the middle and dry fry it in a non stcik pan until golden brown on both sides for a good toastie. Brevilles and sandwich makers are so delia, dahhling :D

got the shoes i will be wearing for my wedding next year (wrong way round i know, misspent youth etc etc). A fine pair of Dr. Martens.

Is your bride to be also a skinhead?

I'm a skin by design not choice. My intended shall be wearing a pair of Converse All Stars on the big day, much as I hate giving Mr Nike my money. We are taking it seriously though Guv, honest.

My son used iMovie to put together a series of photos (mainly me and him) with some cycling and football video footage clips (Brentford Goals, Cavendish sprints) and a message from him at the end, with one of my favourite songs playing in the background.

It was truly touching and I was welling up a bit.

    My son is the best!

I cheated for a present and handmade Wiggo cufflinks for myself, I made my kids give them to me anyway with lots of Jelly Babies. Then I got harrassed by colleagues about the cufflinks and put them onto Etsy.

The Wiggo cufflinks fell of my desk, then got a resin infection and are now in danger of being withdrawn. They are also in danger of being overshadowed by the CVNDSHlinks. :)
