Wow, not bad at all! Im going to making a Raleigh retro pub bike, ill upload it here when i finish it :)

maybe you should concentrate on building the GT chucker more first?

The GT just needs bits now, then i can build that in like an hour. and i wont be spending any money putting the Raleigh together. Im just paying for a can of paint, purple has to go...

That's because you've never ridden a decent bike.

Are only 16, so can't afford one.

Have not actually been what most of us here would consider mountain biking.

On the up side, being so young means he has plenty of time to develop a healthy dose of arrogance and condescension, so he can fit right in with some of the older guys when he does hit the trails, lol...

Yep, thats probably why. Ive never had a go on any properly expensive bike before if im honest. But i think i would still prefer having a HT. But i dont know.

Ive got 2 supermarket full susser frames chucked up in the garden, the front fork bottoms out dropping off a pavement.:lol::lol: Stripped them for emergency spares...lol.

 I cant imagine myself riding with older people that are experienced trail riders. Ill probably just try and go fast and have a big off...

after riding around a forest and around a lake for about 4 hours I wish I had a full sus bike hard tails gr8 but the back end kept bouncing about a bit. had to stand up as sitting down was not very nice

I always find that i have troubles with the front of my bike bouncing around. Probably because of my riding style?

Nope. Because you need front suspension, it is as simple as that.

I have one. Lol. Bouncing is drastically reduced, but still get the fair bit over ruts, thats why i assumed it was riding style, and probably because im a noob.

I think its probably the quality of the forks you have not your riding style.

I ride as fast I can most places off-road and its not very bouncy enless im going over something very tough :D

Most likely, i ride as fast as i can too, would be alot faster without bouncing around.

same thou I would need a full sus to minimise rear end bounce.

have still got those big horrible dh style forks :(

    surely they cant help.

get some suntour's or rock shox's push the boat out

Ill be looking for a pair of Marzocchi Bombers for the Chucker, as that will take over from the Arrowhead as the new offroader, Arrowhead is getting converted into a more hybrid-ish kind of bike. But ill swap the tyres over if i ever feel like going offroad on it. Shouldnt take long to get a pair of new forks as im getting paid near the end of this month.

Seriously, every single thread on this entire forum has turned into you two saying the same things. Are you not bored? I've been fairly reserved until now but please swap numbers, get a room and stop flooding this site with bollocks. Do you go looking for threads you haven't commented on just to complete the set?

I'm all for having cheap bikes. I'm all for doing work yourself. I'm a big fan of pulling apart and rebuilding stuff, even if it is cheap shite, because its fun when you are young (and old) but I do not want to read the same shit conversation every single day between a couple of teenagers.

Sorry about that. I know ive sort of made a couple of threads sway away from the original topic...but this time we were talking about bikes instead of motorbikes or anything else. Ill stop now. Sorry.

I enjoy building and taking apart bikes just as much as i like riding them. Im also a big fan of doing it. Thats why ive got 13 bikes, LOL. Most of the frames in my garden used to be bikes that i used to use as pub bikes, but they all met the end of their lives one way or another. Alot of them stopped being pub bikes because i rebuilt a better framed bike using the parts from the more shyte ones.

I can honestly build and mess around with bikes all day long and not get bored. Its alot better when you are doing up a bike that you are really really fond of, instead of a pile of junk.

Did you enjoy building up your Kona? Nice engineering solution for the bar grips btw.
