    This must be something to do with my "inherent dislike" of TV: he does remind me of Virenque, who I absolutely despised. It surprises me how much in both cases - I'm not by nature a "hater" - and there's a lot in their styles of riding I admire in others. As far as I can put a finger on it, it's the feeling that they play up to their housewive's favourite status, mugging for the camera and so on - it's the feeling of artifice that sticks in the craw so much.

    Not a big fan but there aren't many better tacticians when it comes to winning from a smallish group ( though his stint in yellow last time around showed he maybe had a bit to go for gc tactics, but then again, it may have all been for show) and he's bloody strong.
