Vayer trying to weedle his way into the twaliban's good books. I suppose now Walsh has been shunned there is a space open - http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/vayer-c ... a-from-sky

Clearly it is neccessary for team Sky to publish their blood data, No point in Katusha or Astana, i mena there is zero suspicion there

This Guy (copied off of CN believe it or not) should come over here....

    Congratulations martinvickers!
You know, comparing riders to Armstrong is fast becoming the Godwin's law of cycling doping chatters. Did you know that Armstrong was also caucasian, anglophone, and was known to eat chicken? Gadzooks, so am I - must be doped to the gills!!

For the love of all that is good and pure, can we investigate what's actually happening instead of trying to trace hansel and gretal style breadcrumbs back to friggin' Armstrong all the friggin' time? It's childish!

Some people hate hearing it, including some pretty prominant ones, but facts actually matter, you know. Hunches and personal dislikes, and on the other side fandoms are not good enough evidence for anything...

Well I got into a Twitter argument with Festinagirl, still no evidence other than Skya are winning, Discovery were a wining team so Sky are doping... unless they lose then Sky are doping but could not because Walsh was there. This is the same Walsh they no longer trusted as he was a Murdoch employee. (let's not forget Kimmage was too :O )

    festinagirl
@bockersjv @bikejourno there are huge similarities between the conduct of Sky and USPA, NONE of which have anything to do with doping
    bockersjv
@festinagirl @bikejourno Agree, they have to do with winning races!
    festinagirl
@bockersjv @bikejourno doesn't that worry you a little though? That the new 'clean' cycling looks pretty much like the old 'dirty' one
    bockersjv
@festinagirl @bikejourno It would do if there was any evidence or murmurs from ex teammates, that's what sunk Lance.
    festinagirl
@bockersjv @bikejourno took a while for those rumours to surface, though
    bockersjv
@festinagirl @bikejourno True, but in the meantime I will presume their innocence, just like in civilised law.

There is never a winning move, like tic tack toe!

I'm genuinely baffled that characters like Festina and UCI Underpants (gloriously named by @lionelbirnie) have any credibility. Hey ho. Here's "scoop" trying to dodge charges of baseless smearing:

    UCI_Overlord 3:47pm via web
@herbiesykes So the difference is in how the dialogue is handled. Again, my issue with Sky is not about doping question marks.

At this point ridicule is called for, not rational debate.

I do try not to argue with her any more as it's so pointless, but I find it so pathetic that they don't have the balls to even stand by their accusations...

  • Is there any point to taking legal action against festinagirl? Isn't that the equivalent of suing the Simpsons crazy cat lady? I defected from a forum where she was one of these 'anti doping messiahs', even had one girl squealing in joy that she got a retwat. FFS

I think lots of proper journalists have questions for Sky and indeed ask them. In the past, and by Brailsfords own admission they dealt with them poorly and weren't as transparent as they could be.

They're much better now. I don't like the team, think they've a bit hypocritical with their stance on doping in the past, but I see nothing that would lead me to believe they're doping.

Festinagirl? What a joke. A sad wanabee sitting behind a computer screen, desperate for attention.

Discovery won and were doping, so if Sky are winning they must be doping. WTF.
Chalk and cheese. Disco had a publicly stated strict anti doping policy did they? No,didnt think so.
Sky can ride up mountains as if they dont exist can they? No, thought not.
Disco published there blood statistics for all to see, to show anomalies? Again, negative.
Dico were slated for there boring slow tempo riding and lack of attacking, were they? You guessed, no.

    Nothing like each other then.
The cycling fraternity seem to want it both ways. Long solo mountain attacks that seemed to be too good to be true (because they were) but want clean cycling. Cant have both. They look less like supermen now, because without the juice, hopefully, they are more like normal human athletes.

As much as it's painful to get into a twitter "debate" with her, I had to point festinagirl in the direction of Peter Kennaugh's comments on dopers, ironically taken from his own twitterings so you'd think she'd have seen them...., in which he doesn't hold back. Am sure she'll have some theory that its all a big front schemed up in the Brailsford-cave whilst they're all sat there with needles in them, being forced to post misleading statements...
Most annoying is the fact that if she gets called out on anything she stamps her feet and claims people are personally attacking her, yet that's exactly what she's doing - basically saying a whole bunch of young guys are liars, cheats and frauds. Am sure the only reason legal action hasn't been taken yet is that would just fuel the conspiracy fantasists "ooh look, they're suing us, JUST LIKE LANCE!"

In the current climate it seems unlikely that the release of complex blood parameters, requiring expertise in phlebotomy for objective analysis, would do anything other than energise Twitter's proctology department. Chaos would ensue. I hope they do it. 8)

It's no wonder @festinagirl is getting the boot from her job, she can't spend much time actually working.

I've had some good interactions with her, and some that just make me want to scream. The more of her ramblings I read the more I actually start to worry just how obsessed she is with Sky, it's actually quite unhealthy for somebody who isn't actually paid to write about cycling.

There are all sorts of odd people on the internet. People with far stranger ideas than Sky doping - 9/11 Truthers, Moon Landing hoaxers, creationists.
They're at it all day every day and nothing you can do will convince them they are wrong. And everything that happens will be moulded to their agenda.
But they're a small minority and sure only be viewed for entertainment purposes only.

In summary. Stop worrying about them.

Lets face it, she is not the only one.

Sky can do nothing right if you read this and other cycling forums.

A British Tour winner withing five years? Yea get real, what is Brailsford on.
Wiggins wins Tour within that timeframe. Boring, the course was to his liking.
Anti doping? They go too far. They dont go far enough. They win so they must be doping.
They use power meters when riding = boring, and they listen to there race radios, must be cheating (somehow) to do that.
There bus is black? Well thats just beyond a joke. Boring and machine like. Death Star, said David Millar.
Black kit = boring....oh and its too expensive.
Lead out train riding tempo in the mountains = boring, and they ride so fast no one else, the exciting riders, can attack. Why dont they just leave there team leader to his own devices and see how he gets on.

I could go on but you see how pathetic all this nonsense is? No probably not.

Maybe i'm just less patient, but both this forum and twitter are starting to become quite hard work these days, with less interesting debate and more silliness. I appreciate that there have always been idiots on here, there just seems to be more now.
