6'1", 34" inseam, 78cm centre BB to top of saddle.

56 Cervelo R5, 120mm stem, 5mm spacer, long reach bars, setback post.
58 Cervelo S5, 110mm stem but -17 degrees, no spacer, medium reach bar, saddle in forward clamp.
55 Felt F3x, 120mm stem, 20mm spacer, medium reach bar with hoods set low (Zipp Vuka Sprint aero profile bar), setback post.
58 Condor Super Acciaio, 100mm stem, 10mm spacer, track bars (long reach), setback post.

Which all sound quite different, but in fact the distance from the nose of the saddle to the centreline between the top of the hoods (measured as the hypotenuse, so including drop) is within half a centimetre for the last three (71.24 on both 58s, and 71.7 on the 55 F3X). It's 2.5cm more (73.8 ) on the R5, mostly because I ride a much greater saddle to bar drop on that bike.

The S5 has aero extensions, so I have to keep the reach to the drops a little shorter; the Condor and the Felt are both used for commuting as well as other purposes, so I deliberately went for a slightly more upright position.

6ft2, longs legs, short torso and arms. I ride 58, could ride on a 56 if I could handle the drop. A 56 would also have the, "elephant in a Mini," look though

Similar, just shy of 6'2". I ride a 58 but my old steel frame is a 56 and I am comfortable on it for 2-3 hours. However, having recently seen pics of me in my 58 I must look bloody ridiculous on the 56. Thinking a 60 must look better but just feel far too stretched and upright whenever I've tried one.
  • 5'11 and go for a 54cm frame, I have shortish legs but also like a higher seat than bars.

Interesting topic, even if it has been dragged kicking and screaming from the old threads home.

I’m 6’ exactly. My race bike is a carbon 57cm Pinarello with a 130mm stem, and my winter bike is a steel 58cm Pinarello with a 120mm stem. One cm of spacer under both stems.

    I'm about 6'1 and use a 58cm Tarmac.

Looking to purchase a 56cm Supersix Evo or Scott Foil if it feels right. The Tarmac feels too lengthy, as I am mostly legs and little torso.
5 8, with 31 inseam and ride giant M, rode Feft 54, building a 52s Colnago CLX 3.0 frame. Seems like I will need a shorter stem.

  • 188cm tall (6ft2) but with exceptionally long legs for my height at 92cm. I ride a 61 Bianchi Infinito (seat tube actually measures 58 c-t), selected in part because its geometry suits my very long leg/short torso proportions.
