It's at the Liverpool Cruise Terminal today and tomorrow, you can buy a ticket and have a look around.

Let's hope they've counted how many helicopters they've got on board.

Beats me. If they'd have wanted something that was big, slow to get moving and difficult to turn around they'd have kept Andy Carroll

I went for a butchers at lunchtime. She's bigger than Andy. Just.

Nothing of interest on the way home, and almost nothing at all on the way in this morning ....

On the way in this morning, rather than on the way home, but, in addition to 13 squashed rabbits (count them), 2 squashed hedgehogs and a squashed buzzard (that's a new one for me), I also saw this ...

The bridge structure in the background is my road to work, only it's also a swingbridge over the Manchester Ship Canal, which just started swinging out of the way to allow an oil tanker to come through as I approached. Impressive bit of Victorian engineering in action. Made me late for work.

Yes, Warrington is one of the highlights on my ride from Altrincham to Liverpool. That, and Widnes.

Maybe it's a weird coincidence, but apart from your 13 squashed rabbits and other assorted carrion, my boss also saw "loads and loads of dead squirrels" on the way in from Chinley this morning . Maybe it's some weird small mammal suicide pact?

Yes, I forgot to mention the squirrels. Scores of them. A very bad night for Cheshire's wildlife!

a few days ago now, but I saw two things that made me go ooh.

    1. A normal-ish-looking if rather tall bike-frame with a very tall extended headtube and a hand-crank at the top of it, in addition to pedals and cranks where you'd expect them. Being ridden across Battersea Bridge.

    2. A black people-carrier-type vehicle, clearly plain-clothes-police-or-other-service with integrated flashing blue lights amongst the light cluster. But a "Private Hire" sticker on the back windscreen too :?

I'm a big footie fan and thought it was amusing that the first televised MNF match of this season the other week had Chelsea fans clearly chanting:

    "I wanna go home,
    I wanna go ho-o-o-ome,
    Burnley's a sh*thole,
    I wanna go home"

Keep an eyeout for the fly past in the morning about 8:30 according to work colleagues from the other side of the international border.

  • 8:30 Friday morning according to the BBC. 12 fighters, a voyager and the red arrows. Should be some display.
Someone on my face book posted a photo of a submarine last night. Still waiting for it to be verified though.
