As others have pointed out, it is very poorly set up and nobody, you included could find it an optimal position to ride in. Looks like a shop that have no idea how to set up a road bike have cobbled it together and you have bought it and not changed the set up from how it left the shop.argon 18 e116 2013 Vision Metron 80

The bar shifters pointing down is a bit odd too. Hit a big pothole and your hands could slide off... If you need to have them down for extra reach then try a 10mm longer stem or something...
Dogmatic - yes, no?
Saddles are designed to support a cyclist's weight. However that cyclist finds comfort is his/her choice - not via convention or peer pressure. Yeah, I make a habit of riding into potholes and my hands slide off all the time. LOL!
I bet you'd be willing to tell me the 'proper' way to put toothpaste on my toothbrush? Take a break from the pedanticism - it's cycling afterall.
Cycling is pedantic.
If you can't take a critique of your bike don't post a picture on here.
Saddles are designed to be level, at the angle you have yours there is a strong possibility you will develop problems associated with excess perineal pressure such as prostatitis.
How about giving what I said about raising a couple of mm and levelling it a go. Same with moving the shifters up the bars as braking on the hoods must be pretty bobbins.
You may be, but 'cycling' is definitely NOT pedantic. Cycling is populated by a multitude of know-it-alls and snobs - like any activity though. Thankfully, you do not represent 'cycling'. You represent yourself, and much too seriously I might add.
That I have no issues with my saddle in its current orientation should comfort you - perhaps, perhaps not. Thankfully, I've been riding and racing bikes for some time and have a pretty good handle on how my saddle should tilt to provide the comfort I desire, your suggestion and the suggestion we all need to copy professional riding positions notwithstanding.
Try this on for size - it's MY bike, not yours, and I'm the one riding it. If you don't like my bike, no sweat. I'd be willing to wager more do than don't. Take a break, my man. And if you can't take any 'push back', suggest you try being a little less critical in the future.
I think you're being a bit sensitive. The advice given is sensible, polite and given in good faith. I doubt though that in reality Nap D, or anyone else on here for that matter, actually gives a f*ck how you have your saddle.0 -
I've tried it accidentally when I had a sh!t seatpost and it tilted back. Couldn't ride on the drops due to the pressure. Plus it makes the bike look like a tesco BSO...Insta: ATEnduranceCoaching

I removed some of the lens distortion which helped the frame look a bit more normal - hasn't done much for the saddle and bars though!
I'm left handed, if that matters.0 -
Hope you don't mind, but gave it a bit of mod in Photoshop, at least wheels look roundish. Very strange what has happened with your pic!
Saddle still looks odd

Sorry that this is my first post but fujisst..... You are a complete c@ck, seriously, take the advice man. I come on here to look at other peoples rides and read the wealth of info from this site but you shouldn't have posted that pathetic image of a bike if you can't handle the criticism from someone who is knowledgeable. It looks like it has been in a crash.
Any way, hope I do not get banned for my outburst:(0 -
LOL! Glad to be a source of motivation for you guys. That I have my saddle tilted a particular way; that I have my bars tilted a particular - twists peoples' underwear into a bunch. Or is it that I won't capitulate to your pressure? I'll go with the latter.
This has been a most humorous study of human (some) nature.
The world is populated with so many of you - that find it impossible to not appreciate differences, nor can you accept that someone is finding success in a manner you can not. Totally amazing the attitudes the anonymity of the web facilitates. Y'all take a break from the seriousness of yourselves and go for a pleasant and relaxing bike ride...Peace. :-)0 -
I am intrigued - how often do you ride and how far do you ride with a set up like in the pictures you have posted. How do you feel post ride - any re-current aches and pains? My seatpost failed 30 miles from home - the saddle jammed in a similar postion to the op - it was actually rideable, although I would not want to repeat the experience!0

I am still keen to hear your views or reasoning for that setup. Seems you dont want to share this new though that breaks every rule known to fitters.
On your latest post..which again avoids a kind and pleasent explanation of your setup which i am keen to hear (incase i am missing the boat on something big here...)
- Don't worry your not twisting my underwear into a bunch...more than likely the stomach muscles
- "Attitudes of anonymity" - dont be stupid...if I was standing beside you I would ask you the same questions.
- Appreciating differences - im all open for appreciating something if you would care to detail your thoughts on why the tilt makes it comfy.0 -
Looks like it's been cobbled together by someone that knows nowt about road bikes. Even the bar tape looks all wrong.0

Hmmmm - ADD, while not contagious, can be hereditary and thus leads me to believe...
Anyway, I don't owe, nor is anyone entitled to an explanation as to why I ride with my saddle or bars in their current positions. Suffice to say how I orient them is the most comfortable for me - and that's all that really matters, folks. For your own sanity, try accepting that.
This dialogue has been fun and amusing, but the novelty and intrigue has worn off. I might post some additional photos if/when I can get around to it. Don't hold your breath though...0 -
intoxicated with the exuberance of your own verbosity rings a bell with your posts.
mate chill your head...a friendly bit of info was all we are after. want to be a stuck up cyclist that thinks he has something over other forums users...grow up would ya0 -

You mean you you don't have to do the ritual of shouting, swearing and hitting submit as many times as you can when posing on bikeradar?

You can't actually know that there is anything wrong with this bike (except maybe the blob on the stem and the pump) without seeing the owner. All it needs is someone with very short legs and a long torso and the bar position could quite possibly generate a racy riding position. The point is that, however unlikely, it is possible for someone with a fairly conventional skeleton to sit on that bike as it is and do it justice.
Whereas it is hard to believe that anyone with a normal skeleton could be optimised on the OPs setup.......Faster than a tent.......0 -

Ah, you're coming at it from a different angle than the others? You think there should be more. You could have a point. Doubt it's a commuter though.Wilier Cento Uno SR 2013 in Fluro Yellow
